Very concerned and complementary to my dog. Anyway Ive heard them talk to other pets as well and they treat them with respect and make them feel very comfortable while theyre there. I just need to set up a time so I can bring her in to get her fixed that part of it I need to talk to him about because Im scared of the pain that she might endure but every pet owner probably goes through this when they have their pets fixed whether its male or female haha. But after her going to my old vet then this one out here in Wixom such a big difference in veterinarians. I have a year old blue pit terrier female that needed to be spayed so I had called around to other places to get prices and be aware guys the Humane Society really gives you a low-ball price nowhere near of what it actually cost to have a female spayed. Wixom family pet practice gave me the price from the beginning of her surgery to the end of her surgery and the Aftercare as well. I was so shocked when I went to pick her up how much it was the bill I mean it was $350 well more than what family pet practice Wixom family pet practice was going to charge and they were only a half a mile away from me. I had to drive an hour away especially right after surgery and she was not very comfortable as it was. So be aware when you call around to check for pricing Wixom family pet practice was the best price as well as the care that they give for the dogs. I am so sorry I did not follow up with family pet practice instead. I thought I was getting a big deal and saving a lot of money by going to the Humane Society boy was I ever wrong like I said it was $350 family pet practice was like 3:10 from the beginning to the aftercare that I had to follow up with they were straight with me and told me the exact price so there was no surprises man was I ever surprised when I went to pick up Marley my dog from Humane Society they shot me a price at 165 out the door but that just cover surgery only then all the other stuff that you need for aftercare and pre-op as well as post-op they didnt include that in the price so like I said when you check into this stuff be aware because family pet practice was always good to Marley and Me as far as handling this issue Im so sorry family pet practice in Wixom

I took my dog to the to this vet clinic because of the reviews. Everyone seemed to really like this place. Pros were office was very clean, staff was friendly. My dog was sick for unknown reasons, and I couldnt afford all the tests they wanted to run, and the owner lowered price to what I could afford which was very kind of her to do. The cons actually concern the vet I saw. She came across as not very knowledgeable and she was very very pushy about putting my dog on meds before knowing what was wrong with her. When I questioned her, she acted like I shouldnt be questioning her judgement. To me it seemed silly to worry about a few seizures when the dog isnt eating, lost 1/8th of her body weight, and refused to move. Long story short, my dog ended up having to be put down because of a liver shunt that made her ill very fast and there wasnt anything the new vet I took her to could do to help her. While i thought office was very nice and staff as well, I dont like the way the vet handled my dogs sickness and treated me, so therefore I wont be bringing any more dogs here. The vet who put kindly put my dog down for me will be the one I bring future dogs to as she seems much more knowledgeable and sensitive to peoples concerns and questions.

Took my pregnant dog in to find out how many pups she would have. After x rays they told me definitely 4. Birthing day 3 pups so I got scared after 10 hours and rushed to emergency vet, another $200. Guess what? 3 pups!! I waisted $ at both places because of this misinformation . I also tried to get my dogs second 6 month heartworm meds (I only could afford 6 months at the first time) and they said they needed to see the dogs. $35 each just to see them. They didnt need to test but they had to charge an office visit per dog (5) to just look at them before giving me their last 6 month dose. $$. Last I rescued a stray cat and had it at the emergency vets, wanted some flee meds as I was at work and right next door. NOPE not without seeing it. It was already at the other vet but they didnt carry flee meds. Even with a call from the other vet they would NOT give me the meds (Healthy Pet in Milford did). They are not in it for the animals, just the money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I would have given a negitive star review if possible!

I always take peoples negative ratings with a grain of salt... glad I did. Went to a couple different vets. So far these guys are great. Quick, inexpensive, polite. I have a surgery for my older large dog coming up soon. Will write back with a review of the entire experience. Also, this place gives a low-high estimate on everything. Every where else Ive been has always only quoted the high end. They told me if the surgery was as simple as they think, then low. If its more involved, then since more work will be done, more drugs used, etc, then itll be higher. Well see. But so far, I really like these guys and Im pretty critical of customer service. Thumbs up. *** UPDATE *** Surgery went perfect. Our dog healed fine and looks great. They were awesome on the follow ups too. Anyone that left a negative comment must never be pleased with anything.

First time here and unless I have an emergency, probably the last. I did not feel welcome. I felt more of an inconvenience from the moment I walked in. It was very pricey from what Im used to. Actually, it was double the price of any other walk in vet Ive ever been to. While I was in the waiting room, I contacted my girlfriend and she told me if I didnt mind driving 25 minutes there was another vet that would only charge me for medication and any tests they would run on my pet. So of course I opted to avoid the $90 walk in fee. I felt bad but its a pretty simple choice. I apologized multiple times just to feel shunned. I realize I wasted their time, but theyre not going to waste my money. Especially for the way I felt from the second I walked in. First impressions are everything and I was not impressed.

We just moved to the Walled Lake area and needed to find a new vet (we loved our vet in East Lansing) for our dog and cats, my husband called several places (including the Walled Lake Vet Clinic) and got the best vibe from the staff at Wixom Vet Clinic. We have since taken our dog for routine tests and heartworm pills and was very pleased. We also went through taking our sick cat there and ended up having her euthanized due to having a large tumor around her spine. The vet and staff was excellent and very caring throughout the whole event even though we were new customers. Now we are dealing with another issue and again the staff has been nothing but helpful and very knowledgeable and have been terrific in working with us on buying in small amounts to help us keep costs down!! So far so good!!
