Let me tell you about how much I love this vet. I moved down to Ypsilanti roughly around 2 years ago. I brought my English bulldog with me. If anyone has a bulldog. They know the medical problem struggle with these adorable wrinkled faces. One of the girls from work recommended me to this place. Super nice, clean and friendly place, also Lucy the clinic cat is super ADORABLE! Every time I would go in they treated him like a god damn rock star and went above and beyond to figure out what was wrong with him. I cried to them so many times and they really listened to me and knew my pain about these adorable beasts. I followed everything they told me on how to get him better. I just recently moved and I couldnt get his meds up in Bay City unless I had to get a check up or a script. I called down to them and they helped me out. I really wish Ypsilanti and Bay City were right next to each other. This place is amazing thanks to the wonderful staff and the doctors. I really couldnt say one thing bad about this place. If your looking for a vet I HIGHLY recommend coming to them.

I have to respond to all of these negative reviews about Dr. Call. I have taken my dogs to Whittaker Road for years and have had nothing but excellent customer service and great vets. I recently had to put one dog down right after Thanksgiving and unexpectedly found out at Christmas that my other dog have cancer that has spread and he was not expected to make it through the night. Dr. Call was very compassionate and understanding and caring. She expressed how sorry she was and acknowledge how difficult this was for me. The last time I took Rocky, my dog with cancer, Dr. Call let me go into the back of the clinic where they take animals and is a not open to patients. She let me sit there with him while he was receiving fluids. I didnt know it at the time but that was the last time I was able to spend time with him before he died because we put him down the next morning. When we put him down she told me to spend as much time with him as I wanted and let me come in before the clinic opened.

While Im not crazy about the facility itself (it could use some updating), I absolutely love Dr. Abigail Wuerth. She is wonderful with my dog and offers advice whenever asked, and realistic advice, especially if you are budget conscience. When my dog was having a lot of reverse sneezing she offered an antihistamine, but also told me I could give him Benadryl, and wrote down his dosage of it because I mentioned that I thought it was cheaper. I havent had any issues in waiting, maybe 10 minutes at most, but Im given an exam room right when I arrive, which is usually early and Im seen shortly after that. The only down side is having to order my dogs prescription diet about a week ahead of time because they dont have the room to keep it in stock at the site. Highly recommend the care plans too, I dont ever have to worry about when he is due for shots, or paying for them because they send reminders via mail and the shots are included in the plan.

Dr. Call is AWFUL! She is very condescending and talks down to you like you are nothing. Beyond the fact that she has the personality of a rock, has no idea how to connect with people, is terrible with animals, she also could not fix my dogs ear infection. 4 visits and her indecisiveness in not understanding what to do, and my poor dog is no better! Mind you, 200 bucks first visit, and over 100 each following visit. They also charge more than double what petmeds charges. When I asked why their fees changed for the SAME medicine within 2 weeks, Dr. Call just walked out of the room. She became very confrontational and rude when I asked her why she was so short and nasty! I heard tons of bad things of Dr. Call before going, but thought I needed to see for myself. This place is AWFUL!!! GET RID OF DR CALL or close up Whittaker Road CLINIC!!!

Dont give these people more money- SERIOUSLY! The wait times are horrible, staff is rude, and just want to make money. It never used to be this way but recently.. just WOW! Take your pets to a place that has heart!!! Update: Do not ever, ever, ever get one of their plans! They have an auto-renewal that they wont remind you is upcoming and more expensive. Also, I had an issue with their account statements. I requested one every few months and they never matched up. Example: Requested one in June and July - two completely different amounts showing for the balance for May onward. Just dont waste your time with those rude people!

Took my dog in for an emegency today (while romping around outside and chasing the ball, she managed to get a 4 inch piece of stick jammed in her mouth) they say her right away, gave me tissues while I cried and they took care of my baby! We were there less than an hour and they got stick removed and gave me eveything I needed to make sure she was okay. The staff was AMAZING, explained what they needed to do, and did it. They were so caring and helpful. We will definately be back (hopefully not for an emergency!) I felt the prices were very reasonable for services they provided.

Its been going downhill since Dr. Contreras left. Wait times are appalling. I think they overbook. Its often a half-hour or more just waiting in the room before anyone even stops in to check on the dog, let alone the vet. If they cant meet the scheduled time, then change the appointment. Dont tell me that 9:30 is okay if you know that you cant even look at the dog until 10:30. A little customer service goes a long way. A simple thing like stopping in to let me know itll be a awhile is just common courtesy. Need to find a different vet now I guess.

I love this clinic! Everyone is friendly and seems to care about the pets on a personal level. Like, so personal that they are in the floor with them because my dogs (Rick-James and Landshark) dont like to get on tables. I didnt have to wait to be seen and the prices are about what I expected. They also showed me how to medicate my dogs ear by using the cat who lives there as a demonstration model. Ill go back and do recommend them.

They were so kind to me and my family when our beloved cat died this past fall. And I never wait more than 2 minutes when I go in for an appointment. No one has ever been rude to me and we have taken our pets there for ten years.
