My previous manager recommended Belle Plaine Animal Hospital to me, we live in southeast Minneapolis but could not find a vet that we really liked that wasnt trying to bankrupt us with high prices and pushing unnecessary additions. After our first visit, annual exam and vaccinations, I knew we had found the perfect vet. Even being an hour away, it is totally worth the drive, Dr. Ricci and staff are amazing! Dr. Ricci is extremely thorough, patient, and I love that she recommends simple lifestyle and dietary changes instead of pills and supplements that can get spendy! My last vet had quoted me around $700 for all the services I needed (absolutely ridiculous), I received all the services plus bought 3 months of heartgard and 1 free month of nexgard, for $250. The price difference is astonishing and the quality of care is 100x better! On top of all that, the following day I received a follow-up email, attached was a 2 page report that broke down the physical exam by body part, gave Dr. Riccis findings and if anything needs to be watched or changed it was in red print and then list multiple solutions. The best report Ive ever received, easy to see areas that need improvement, perfect for keeping in your records and also perfect for proof if signing up for pet insurance! Thank you Dr. Ricci! I highly recommend Belle Plaine Animal Hospital, for the sake of your pet, wallet, and peace of mind!

My husband and I live in Carver, and are die-hard believers in holistic medicine. We use a homeopathic vet in Ham Lake to treat our dogs all of which are senior rescues. We had been referred to Dr. Kelso by a friend, and had always intended to see what she was all about. On 12/26, the timing of our first visit was taken out of our hands. Our approx. 15-year old german shorthair began throwing up. We always err on the side of caution so a call was made to the clinic. Arrangements were made for Dr. Kelso to see Macie right away. Every test possible was run with no conclusive results. Dr. Kelso reviewed each and every test result with us making sure that we understood everything. The decision was then made to schedule an ultrasound for the 28th. However on the morning of the 28th, Macie let us know that she was ready to leave us. The clinic got us in immediately. We have lost far too many dogs over the years (the downside of adopting seniors) so we have been through the process too many times. Dr. Kelso and her staff were so unbelievably kind and compassionate to us and Macie. Even though they had just met us two days prior, we felt as if they had cared for Macie her entire life. We still love our homepathic vet in Ham Lake, but from now on, Dr. Kelso will be our primary vet.

I recently adopted two kittens and needed to schedule appointments for their first visit, and knowing that my mom, who also has a few pets, trusts BPAH with her pets, I knew that I could as well. I live about 40 minutes away from the vet, which isnt a problem for me, but is for my two little kittens. The first visit went awesome, Dr. Kelso answered all of the questions that I had (which were a lot). After the visit, my kitty had a little (and as in little, I mean quite large) accident in the carrier. So, I called the vet and asked them If I could bring her back in and clean her up a bit. Without hesitation, they said yes. So I came back in with my poor little kitty, who was head to toe in her own poop, and the lady helped me clean her up so that I could take her home. I love the atmosphere of the BPAH, the art on the walls makes it very colorful and comfortable. They are also very caring when it comes to losing a pet, which is always very nice.

We have been going to Belle Plaine Animal Hospital since we moved to the cities 7 years. We had 1 very shy cat at the time and they were so good w/him. Then we acquired a rescue puppy & they were all very awesome w/our little puppy. She had come from a terrible place and was so fragile. Dr. Ricci suggested what food would be best for her, & how we could protect her from any further health issues. Then we babysat a cat that the owner forgot to come back to pick up, & they were fabulous helping us figure out what we needed to do to keep this cat as healthy as possible. They are very knowledgeable and caring people. Every time we are there we learn new things about our pets. Since we live more than 40 miles away they have always been so flexible w/our appointments. I would be hard pressed to find a more caring and knowledgeable clinic to go to. I would Highly Recommend this Clinic to anyone who needs an Animal Hospital/Clinic for their pets.

Our experience with Dr. Ricci Kelso began when we decided we wanted a house cat. A call from the vet clinic informed us of an available young female. Dr Kelso and her staff have been very kind to us. (and the cat, which we named PC - for "pound cat). I appreciate the fact that we get "reminder" post cards from PC when it is time for her next visits, shots and meds! The most amazing thing for us was the prescription of an anxiety calming nebulized pheromone for PC when we moved from one city to another. We are pleased to recommend the Belle Plaine Animal Hospitals Veterinary services and staff to all pet owners.

Best vet clinic around! I brought my very sick (and beloved) 13 year old cat in and was extremely fearful I was going to lose her. Dr. Ricci Kelso and her team did a fantastic job taking care of my cat for the day while I was at work. She needed additional treatment and tests, so we were referred to an emergency vet clinic in the cities. With their help they determined my kitty had a horrible UTI and now after treatment shes back to her sweet, loving, naughty self. Id recommend the Belle Plaine Vet Clinic to anyone who truly wants the very best for their animal.

We have been bringing our pets to Belle Plaine/ LeSueur Hospital for 16 years. . We currently have 3 German Shepherds and 1 cat. They are in good health and thriving due to the caring and dedication of this amazing team. We always feel like we are given all the information we need to make informed decisions in regards to our pets. When tough decisions have to be made and ones heart gets in the way , Dr. Ricci, Kathy, Michelle and Rose are all here for you. We truly feel as there are an extension of our family.

We drive 30 minutes to go to Belle Plaine Animal Hospital! We love that Dr. Kelso and staff are holistic minded, yet offer all traditional care as well. Our English Masiff loves going to the vet, and runs in tail wagging for each visit. Our mastiff had digestive issues last spring that were difficult to figure out. Dr. Kelso was so wonderful with communication and we were able to sort it out very quickly with appropriate testing. Would highly recommend this vet, we have been very pleased.
