My dog had some sort of seizure followed by weird, brain-damaged behavior. Dr Craig Piepkorn called me back well after hours to discuss. Since it appeared that the episode was stable, we agreed to wait until morning for examination. --------------- I was back a couple of times over the next few days. I was mainly impressed with how smart and conversational the doctor was. He discussed the things he was doing to evaluate the situation and the conclusions he was developing in avery informative way. --------------- I was very pleased at the amount of time and care he spent with my dog and me. I appreciated his realistic assessment of the possible coursea of action. --------------- My experience with doctors of all sorts is that they are bossy know-it-alls. Not so at Westonka. In addition to the terrific experience I had with Dr Craig, I have met Dr Jackie Piepkorn and she, too, is a very kind and engaged sort of doctor. Add a staff that is made up of some of the sweetest, smartest young women you could want and I have to say that my opinion of Westonka Animal Hospital is that it is a wonderful, caring place.

This is a fantastic place to go if you have unlimited funds to spend on your pet. The vets are very knowledgable, and it is apparent that they love what they do and they honestly care for your furry family members. The new location is clean, friendly and very welcoming. They have puppy training on site, and also the worlds greatest dog groomer (we will see her forever, even though we will never bring our pets to this vet again). However, Westonka Animal Hospital run every single, extremely expensive test imaginable. We took our 2 year old healthy pup in for her yearly exam and it cost over $200 for the visit alone, not including heart worm or frontline treatments. She doesnt have any previous conditions or anything else that should have driven up the price. Our previous vet, who we will be seeing from now on even if it is a bit more of a drive, only charged around $60-75 for the same type of visit.

From the initial contact through our entire wellness visit, we have received excellent care with our dog, Riley! Laura, one of the receptionists, was very friendly and helpful over the phone. The receptionists, vet technicians, and assistants (Liz, Brooklyn, Brittany, Kelsey, Liz, Kellie, etc.) all went above and beyond to help ease Rileys anxiety at her "Happy Visits" prior to her scheduled wellness check up the following week. Each individual was friendly, patient, and found creative ways to encourage Riley to interact with the team. Riley had minimal anxiety by the time we attended our wellness check up, where she also received a few vaccinations, and was interactive with the care team. This made a much easier and less stressful visit on her parents as well :) Overall we had a wonderful experience, and would highly reccommend them to care for your pet!

There are no words to describe Westonka Animal Hospital……….From Outstanding, to Friendly, Professional, but more than that they go out of there way for you. I have three dogs, and I would take them NO WHERE ELSE!! They have gone beyond what it expected. My dogs are not pets they are part of my family, yes-family members and Westonka Animal Hospital knows that. They feel the same way about every pet they see!! They are always there and accommodate your needs. The entire staff is outstanding, and both Dr Jackie and Dr. Craig have always been there, both in sad and happy times. I cannot say enough about the “ENTIRE” staff. Never, ever have I been disappointed. They are truly the best!! Thank you Westonka Animal Hospital for all the years in helping me, taking care of my babies, I look forward to many more!!

We brought our family dog here years ago because he was very sick and we wanted him close to home so.we.could visit him. They were great at the start but he went septic and they didnt notice for 24 hours. We ended up rushing him to the U of M and while they did their best to save him it was no use. The vet (and I hold them in high regard) there said there was no reason he should have died, it was due to negligence. Years after Im in the veterinary field and have talked to two other people that almost lost their animals to misdiagnoses. I would never bring any of my animals to this clinic, even in a dire emergency (especially in a dire emergency), and would never suggest going to them.

Very happy with the service from the Dr.s Piepkorn! I am on my second dog with them and they have treated him since he was a puppy. They were immensely helpful in getting me through the process of being able to take him out of the country many years ago. (we have since moved back) They may not be the lowest price in town and they do offer tests that they feel are necessary but i have never felt pressure to take any of them if I did not want them at the time (same as my human doctor!) I feel they are well worth the prices that I do pay and do not feel I have gobs of money to spend on my pet either. They are great vets and worth a look if you are needing care for your animals.

The staff at Westonka Animal Hospital is second to none. Dr. Jackie is the most knowledgeable, thorough, and caring Vet you could ever find. We have had two hunting dogs and our first one lived to almost 16 years (only through the good care of Dr. Jackie) even though he ran into all kinds of trouble (beaver traps, barbed wire, porcupines,etc.) while hunting. Our second dog, Rip, who is only 3 years old, has had three different very serious "mysterious" health issues that Dr. Jackie researched to determine what they were and how to treat. She never gave up on him and provided more love and care than anyone could ever expect. Its no wonder Rip loves to go in to see her.

I cant say enough good things about Westonka Animal Hospital. After moving from NJ to MN with a 14 year old dog I was recommended to try Westonka Animal. From day one, my dog was more comfortable at this vet and with the staff than any other place he had been. Dr. Craig & Dr. Jackie are wonderful vets and their staff is so warm, knowledgeable and professional. When it came time to make one of the worst decisions a pet owner has to make, Dr. Jackie provided the warmest, kindest heart to us and our dog. I will forever be thankful to Westonka and especially Dr. Jackie.

Our first experience with Westonka was an emergency visit when our 4-year-old labradoodle was very sick. We were blown away by the quality of care and the commitment of our staff. Our dog ended up staying for over a week of critical care, including surgery. Dr. Collins and Dr. Piepkorn were amazing. They kept us constantly informed about Pennys condition, encouraged us to visit her often, and always informed us up front about all costs before performing any treatment. We will bring our pets there as long as were lucky enough to have this high quality practice nearby.
