My pug Jack has been in the hands of South Des Moines Veterinary Center for about 5 years now and I would not think of taking him anywhere else! Jack has received nothing but top notch care and attention when it comes to his health. Dr. Flaming and Dr. Beyer are amazing at what they do not only as skilled veterinarians but also as compassionate people who truly love all of the animals that come through their door as if they were their own. I have had the pleasure of receiving excellent customer care from Tami, Kathy, Kym, Nance, Nina, Dawn and Cari throughout the years and they have my trust when it comes to taking care of Jack. He not only goes to SDMVC for regular check ups and to receive care when something comes up---but he really enjoys when I take him there for daycare and to stay the night:) There are probably not enough great words I can use to describe my experience with SDMVC---I feel like Im part of a great family of support when it comes to my best friend. Jack and I are very lucky to have this great team of professionals in our lives! We love them too!

We were referred to the clinc by a co-worker of mine a few years ago. At the time we had a very sweet, shy boy that was a tad neurotic and he needed some signifcant TLC and understanding after his "sister" passed away. Both docs and all staff treated Riley gently and with kindness whether we were boarding him or having him there for treatment. When his time came way too early and unexpectedly, the staff grieved with us like they were family (which they are!!). Rileys final hours were peaceful, pain-free and dignified as was deserviing of him. We were so grateful. Now we have Beautiful, Baby Bella......she loves "her girls", the cats and is a regular doggy daycare attendee. We cant imagine taking her anywhere else for her health care, boarding and FUN!!

The SDMVC is an excellent place to bring your cat or dog. The staff, from the receptionist to the assistants and doctors, are respectful of you and your animal. I brought my cat on my first visit, and I was astounded by the care given, considering past experiences with the veterinarian. My dog is also a regular attendee of the daycare service thats offered, and she loves it. The SDMVC is also on Facebook, so its easy to contact them and see whats going on when youre not there. Calling them is also completely painless. Everyone talks to you on your level. Take your animals no where else. You wont regret it.

I absolutely love and recommend this clinic. We have a rescue dog whos afraid of all strangers, men, and most other dogs. The staff are so wonderful and our dog actually loves their male tech. The vet care has always been personable and great. The daycare is small and intimate and our dog has fun there. Hes made doggy friends, not too overwhelming with heards of dogs like at other places. Very personal care and they always know his name. We recently moved and Im really going to miss them!

We have been to several different vets since we brought Lexi and Chloe into our family. We finally found a vet that we felt our girls were well taken care of, loved, and the staff know their name and are excited to see them. Thats hard to find, I feel. I also like updates if they are there all day. Not a problem here. They are huge dog lovers and have no problem to go on and on and on about what your baby is doing. Thank you SDMVC for all you do for our kids.

Been a member since 1991, and they have been very good to me and the dogs. When my first dog had to be brought in because it was "his time", they staff were very good to me in handling this tough decision. Later, I got a card signed by all the staff, and also, a notice from the ARL that a donation was made in memory of Max. I still have both in my files. Words can not express how amazing this clinic is! The entire staff is very kind and professional. Dr. Beyer is so compassionate and goes above and beyond for your pets. The care and service you receive here is truly one of a kind and I am forever thankful for this finding this clinic, I only wish I had found it sooner! I dont know why anyone would take their furr babies anywhere but here! THANK YOU SDM VET for all that you do!

I have been taking my pets to SDMVC since I got my first pets in 2003. I would never take them anywhere else. They get to know you and your pet and do an excellent job explaining what they are going to do and answering any questions I have. They treat my pets as if they are their own. I trust them 100% with my pet family!

Best group of people ever!!!! They take the best care of my pets. Constant updates, sneak us in where there are issues of concern and talk us through everything. Saturday puppy classes were absolutely amazing!! Everyone remembers us and our pets by name. Small town feel in the city. They genuinely care!!

Amazing! Took great care of our 7 year old Puggle and 5 year old Beagle during there first teeth cleaning. Everyone in the office is super friendly and very professional at there job. I highly highly recommend them!
