Youd think with a name like Mayo, youd get the best care possible. Nope! I recently moved and chose a new primary physician through Mayo, hoping to just transfer care from my previous Fairview primary. Nope. None of my meds were kept the same, despite the risk of endangering my life (severe allergies of all sorts & severe asthma since toddlerhood). Doctor treated me like a number and never bothered to look at my medical history or the pharmacy printouts of my last years worth of prescriptions, and didnt seem to care. Heart tests were done, results were all "negative", but nobody ever bothered to follow up with answers as to what was wrong. Regardless, the new facility is very nice, and I am able to get in quickly. Support staff, nurses and lab techs are friendly and efficient. The doctor I ended up with was literally less helpful (and more harmful) than WebMD! Needless to say, Ill be going back to my old primary with Fairview systems, even though Ill have to drive 60+ miles round trip.

My daughter really enjoys the staff at this place, and always leaves feeling reassured. However, I pay the bills, and my experience is horrible. We had an issue with getting proper EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) from the insurance company. To keep my daughter feeling comfortable with going for her monthly (pregnancy) appointments, I paid half of the outstanding bill - with the promise that I would get back any monies owed to me. A BIG mistake on my part. I felt that since they were part of Mayo, they would be upstanding and honest. Not so. I got my EOB and it stated that I owed NOTHING. Do you think I can get my money back - no way. It was the providers responsibility as they participate in the program, but they are passing their cost on to me. Im still fighting with them. Next comes contacting the proper people at Blue Cross Blue Shield, hopefully they will retrieve my $856.75.

Tried calling them to reach a dr about being in excruciating pain at 5am on a Friday all throughout the day up until 5pm. I was told the best they can do is reach me on Monday because they only had one dr in that day. Not to mention the fact that I was hung up on because they didnt want to deal with me.
