What an incredible experience. When I went in for my consultation with Dr. Eileen Zhuo and her assistant, I wasnt even healthily skeptical of Chinese medicine, non-Western practices and acupuncture. I was convinced they didnt work at all. But I also felt like I had nothing to lose. Id been suffering from severe, two-week-long PMS that basically left me incapacitated, chronically lethargic and sick - for half my life. My period cramps were even worse. I was taking approximately 5-12 Advils a day (200 mg/pill) for several days to combat the cramps, assuring the eventual destruction of my liver. I was prescribed Ketoralac for pain management by my ob/gyn, a medication with a black box warning. Within two weeks of starting acupuncture and taking both kinds of herbs that Zhuo recommended, I was on the mend. The first period after starting acupuncture was without cramps entirely. So was the second. And the third. My PMS started to lift. Or rather, it shifted from severe to mild. Even my intense food cravings disappeared. But oddly, other changes started occurring that nobody at the clinic warned me about. For instance, I now have this incredible, formidable bodily and mental energy that Ive never had in my life. Apparently, Im producing more chi because Im regaining my health. I have so much energy that I often dont know how to channel it. And my insomnia is practically gone. I always have been a night owl, often taking more than two hours from the time my head hits the pillow to fall asleep. After three months of treatment, Im sleeping within 15 minutes of laying down, sometimes less. Ive never felt more alive or more in control of my life. Not only has this experience changed my mind about non-allopathic healing and Chinese medicine, but its changed every aspect of everything I do.

I started going to ACM in the spring of 2011 for infertility. In 2010 after trying to get pregnant for over a year my doctor discovered I had a 6cm cyst on my left ovary. During surgery to remove it he also found that I have stage 4 endometriosis and my left tube was blocked. He recommended us to go straight to IVF. So we did an IVF cycle in Feb of 2011, it didnt work. After this failed cycle I began to research more alternative medicines and decided to try acupuncture. I had a friend who went to ACM with her IVF cycle a year before and she had success. I did acupuncture for about 3 months before my IVF cycle in July of 2011. During the cycle I produced more eggs and they were better quality. I got pregnant with twin girls and continued acupuncture throughout my pregnancy. Now it is 2016 and I am back at ACM for a round of IVF so we can have more kids. I am looking to do acupuncture for about 4 months this time before my cycle starts in September. I love Dr. Zhuo because she is so nice, knowledgeable about what she does, and she cares about you. She likes to get to the bottom of what is wrong with you to help heal you, not just get you pregnant. I am looking forward to my weekly visits through this summer!

I was desperately looking for a natural way to get pregnant at 40, and Dr. Zhuo helped. She had me taking a boat load of supplements and Chinese herbs, and weekly accupuncture, but after 6 weeks, I was pregnant, and now Im at 6 months and things seem to be going well. She is trained as an OB/Gyn in China, but practices Chinese medicine here, so she had knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine, which I appreciate, as Im in the medical field. She has a wide range of clinic hours available. She seems to genuinely care about her patients, which is refreshing.

I am very satisfied with my experience at the Acupuncture and Chinese Medical Center. I had a hormonal birth control inserted into my arm three years ago and upon removal I lost my periods. Dr. Zhou and her team helped me get them back and become pregnant one more time. Thank you so much Dr. Zhou!

Dr. Zhou has given me really great pregnancy advice and acupuncture has decreased my nausea and vomiting by a lot! I also suffer from anxiety and that has also decreased tremendously.
