Dr Jolly postponed providing a report to my Family Doctor for 10 days until the medical insurance payment cleared. At his office, I paid the copayment and presumed his practice would adhere to the medical standard executing healthcare with a copayment and collect the rest from the insurance company. His explanation to me when I requested a reason why it has taken long to obtain his recommendation to my family practitioner doctor was that I signed a contract that basically explained the above: upon full payment, he produces his report. Can you imagine if all medical practitioners waited to execute treatment or recommendations until the medical insurance company paid the practitioner in full? In closing, Im sure Dr. Jolly is a good person but the philosophy of getting paid first in full before he provides treatments or recommendation is fundamentally wrong and ethically dangerous.
