Dr. Feinberg is the doctor we have spent years searching for, and we are so grateful to have finally found him! Dr. F. is extremely thorough in his diagnostic process. He took the time to get to know our son, and truly evaluate him one-on-one over a five week period, as opposed to the impersonal process of circling numbers on a page. He let us know right away that he would be very honest (even if it hurt), and that he would work to get to the root of the problem, not just put band-aids on symptoms. He came back to us with a very straightforward diagnosis that immediately matched everything that I had felt in my heart was going on with our child. Our son is very uncomfortable being touched, especially displays of affection. He has been unable to be hugged or kissed for as long as I can remember. After seeing Dr. Feinberg for just a short time, I have been hugging, and kissing him every day. I have to pinch myself to believe it is real. I cannot imagine a more amazing gift than that, I truly did not think it was possible. He is smiling and laughing much more easily now, and his teacher reports she sees enormous changes in him socially and emotionally. She reports his work habits have improved as well. Our son absolutely loves his visits with Dr. F. and Grace; he looks forward to them each week. I cannot recommend Dr. Feinberg highly enough, I am filled with gratitude to have found him.

Dr. Feinberg is more than amazing; our family can’t recommend him enough to those seeking help for their child. In the fall of 2016 we contacted our pediatrician with concerns about our 7 year old son’s increasing anxiety. He had always been the kid with a smile on his face and was willing to try new experiences. But his smile had faded and he was paralyzed with sickening fears of going to school and other social situations. We were given Dr. Feinberg’s contact information and without hesitation we called him. Graciously and honestly he talked us through his evaluation process and what his background entailed. When we learned more about his practice and Grace, his therapy dog, we were given some hope we would get some answers and relief with our son’s anxiety. Upon meeting Dr. F we quickly realized how experienced he was in his field. Our son instantly felt comfortable with him and Grace. He was excited to go to the office and have his time with them. Over the next few months we started to see him smile again. His attitude about going places like school and social settings was no longer abrasive or argumentative. In his words, “After I see Dr. F, I feel better on the inside.” If it wasn’t for Dr. F’s genuine heart, dynamic intelligence, and keen perception we would be still looking for answers about his anxiety. Dr. F and Grace have brought back our happy smiley son.

Dr. Feinberg was recommended to us by our psychiatrist when our 14 year old son came to us with suicidal ideation. Dr. Feinberg was so accommodating with his schedule and worked our son in within a few days of my contacting him. His compassion and warmth are such a comfort to not only my son, but to my husband and me as parents. As a family, we have quite a bit of experience with therapists and psychiatrists, and Dr. Feinberg has shown himself to go above and beyond what is required of him and his ethical standards are beyond reproach. I truly appreciate his tenacity in sticking to doing what he believes is right and best for our child. Our son began treatment with him in September of 2012 and today is a much happier child who is learning how to cope with his depression and anger in a constructive, positive way. My son adores Dr. Feinberg and looks forward to his weekly visit to James office. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone who has an adolescent son struggling with any type of psychological issue.

Dr. Feinberg is amazing! My husband and I were very concerned about our sons psychological well being. My pediatrician recommended him to evaluate my son for his anxiety issues. He did a very thorough 6 week evaluation and found the source of his anxiety. He was very upfront with us about his findings and we felt relieved as parents that someone finally found out what was causing his issues. He is a very knowledgeable and professional clinical psychologist. But we were most impressed with the way he interacted with our son. He is currently seeing Dr. F for therapy. To say our son looks forward to their visits is an understatement. Our son thinks he is the coolest guy on earth and loves going to see him. Dr. F is very accommodating and very easy to talk to. We would never think about sending him to anyone else. I have full faith in Dr. F that he will help my son tremendously!

Dr. Feinberg is the only therapist our 15 year old son with ADD/ADHD (Nicholas) has agreed to meet with after evaluation. After many long years of trying different therapists, finding one that your child will go to willingly seems so small to most. But trust me , its a HUGE deal to parents with never ending issues dealing with ADD/ADHD kids. Dr. F is real, hes direct, and his experience has given him invaluable knowledge which he uses to help us understand our son and helps our son better know who Nicholas is and become more confident in being the best he can be! Dr. Fs evaluation process is thorough and so critical to establish a clear path which I believe leads to success. I only wish we could have found him years ago!

There is no one quite like Dr. Feinberg. He is truly the best! He is the most thorough, the most patient and the most understanding man. He did a six-week evaluation to help us get to the bottom of our sons issues. He did not just suggest that he knew what was going on and didnt just suggest a treatment plan or even suggest he could help before performing an extensive evaluation. He is upfront and honest and he leaves no stone unturned. Our son enjoys going to his therapy sessions with Dr. Feinberg and his dog, Grace. We could not be happier that we have finally found someone who can help us and who understands what we are dealing with. We are so grateful that we found this amazing doctor!

We visited with Dr. Feinberg after my son expressed some frustration with handling anger or upset. My husband and I really appreciated Dr. Fs relaxed, informative, honest approach. We felt like we were adding a member to our village vs. having inaccessible professional "evaluate" our child. Our son looked forward to talking to Dr. F. and seeing Grace each week. The play therapy provided much of our post-session conversations, especially when he found the baseball Legos! Dr. F gave us some insightful and useful feedback and ideas for helping our son in the future and providing him with the resources he will need to handle these situations as he matures.

We love Dr. F. He was honest and straightforward with us concerning the issues that our son is experiencing. His evaluation process was thorough and very enlightening. Our son not only doesnt complain about his appointments, he looks forward to them. That is a huge plus. Dr. Fs laid-back style is a perfect fit for our son, and he loves seeing Grace when he visits. Dr. F was the right fit for our family and we are extremely grateful to have found him. We are optimistic about our sons progress. We highly recommend Dr. Feinberg!
