Dr. Pelz is wonderful at his job. Not only does he take great care in trying to address the problems clients think they need help with, he works to determine the underlying cause. I came in with one problem, and he helped me work on the problems that were causing it as well. He is a quick-witted individual, and very trustworthy. Dr. Pelz is empathetic, personal, and genuinely cares about the needs and concerns of his clients. He always made me feel like he was there for me, and he consistently worked to make me feel important and like he cared about making sure that I felt like I was getting what I needed out of visits. When I was skeptical, he gave me research from multiple sources. When I was upset, he brought my favorite kind of candy to make things easier. He is incredibly supportive, and never speaks in a condescending manner. While he is very patient, he also won’t put up with B.S.- he’s the first psychologist who I haven’t been able to talk around and distract. If you are looking for someone who will work with you, who will make you get your money’s worth out of the visit, and whose sense of humor will make even the harder discussions more bearable, consider Dr. Pelz. Before working with him, I worked with two other psychologists who made me think that there was no point in the field because they didn’t help me at all. Though it took me a few visits to believe that anything was progressing, working with Dr. Pelz gave me the vocabulary to discuss my problems, as well as the tools and confidence to continue working on them. I’ve recommended Dr. Pelz to my friends, and I am happy to recommend him to anyone else looking for a psychologist they can trust who will work with and for them.

I first came to Dr. Pelz through court ordered co-parenting. He helped me develop a set of healthy and effective co-parenting skills that I use in even the most difficult situations. What I have learned since seeing Dr. Pelz has not only helped my daughter in the long run but myself tremendously. He was always extremely understanding when it came to scheduling any appointments or payments. I can honestly tell you he is not there to make money!! He truly cares about his patients and it shows. He has helped me with everything from parenting, to dealing with anxiety, to how important my own diet is. In my opinion, Dr. Pelz went above and beyond and I will continue to recommend him to anyone I know!!

Our experience with Dr. Pelz was life changing. He not only changed the direction of my then troubled teen, but he also addressed the parts of my parenting that were in part causing the problems. He doesnt just focus on one part of the person, but everything! On more than one occasion he went above and beyond to help our little family at personal cost. Excellent experience! Couldnt ask for a dr more down to earth and understanding with everything! Hes wonderful with my children! My children always look forward to meeting with him as do I and my husband. Ive had a few negative experiences with clinics in the area and this is by far the very best experience Ive ever had! Dr. Pelz is attentive and very well trained/educated in his field. He has always done what he can to show concern and care for me as a patient, and additionally he has always made himself available to schedule appointments on short notice or rearrange appointments to better suit my schedule. Hes a great guy and a great doc!

Beware of this quack.. I have a family member who saw this "doctor", and now she suffers increased anxiety and depression because he was so rude and unprofessional towards her. He screamed at her in his office just bc he was having a bad day. He feeds off of drama and loves to put others down to make himself feel better.

This Dr. refused to provide a psychological examination of a child (Court ordered by Judge Mackie Pierce, of Pulaski county, Ark.) To the plaintiff in a custody case on 4 separate occasions and has still failed to provide a copy for over a year. I would be very wary of trusting this person.

Horrendous experience with this man. He really needs to see a therapist himself. I witnessed him yelling obscenities in the parking lot at his ex wife while I was leaving his office for the last time. I can only hope my review helps others look elsewhere and avoid this clinic.

I have been through so many doctors in regards to my son that I was giving up hope. We started seeing Dr.Pelz a couple months ago and the change in my son is almost unbelievable. I would recommend his services to anyone having behavior problems with their children.
