Wow. This was, no exaggeration, the worst doctors office experience I have ever had. It was my first visit here. I was not greeted when I walked in. The staff at the front desk did not even return my greeting of "Hi. How are you doing?". So I sat in the waiting area, kept to myself, and read a book while I waited (for over an hour). In the time that I waited, I heard the girls at the front desk insult me, other customers, and even their other coworkers. I had no desire to overhear their conversation, but unfortunately, these girls either have no control of their volume, or simply dont care about being heard. Even though I was patient, polite, and kept to myself, they called me "weird" and they also made some unpleasant remarks about my appearance, even though I was sitting right by their desk. The only person who was polite was the young lady who prepped me for my eye exam, so kudos to her for being nice in an office full of awful and rude little girls. I waited for about 30 minutes in the examination room for the doctor. When he came in he said, "Paul?" and I said, "Yes, Hi. Hows your day been so far?" He ignored my question and said, "Lets get started on this eye exam." That was truly all he said to me except "Read that row." and "1 or 2?" The eye exam went way too quickly and I felt very rushed. At one point I asked to see the "1,2" again and the doctor made a groaning sound before reluctantly showing me the two options again. After the exam was over, I thought "Well, at least its basically over. Cant get any worse, right?" Wrong. I went to pick out glasses. The girl who was "helping" me kept making me try on glasses I didnt want (and also kept pushing the most expensive brands on me). When I found some that I liked, I took them to her and said "I like these a lot. Ill pick these." She made a disgusted look and said, "Really?? Those? They dont look good on you." I said, "Well these are the ones that I want." She looked at me like I was insane and said, "Theres a lot of brands here. Why dont you pick some other ones?" I said, "No. These are the ones that I want. Isnt it my choice?" She acted offended and said, "I was just trying to help you pick better glasses because those dont look good." After that, she gave me the silent treatment and rushed me out the door. Who hired these horrible, rude, appalling girls? I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria, trying to sit at the popular girls table, only to be rejected and insulted for even trying. Its an eye doctors office, not your Senior Year Homeroom. These little girls need to grow up and learn to respect their clientele. If you have even one shred of respect for yourself, dont go to this place. You will be insulted and degraded just for stepping through the door.

Very Very rude. I went to this eye center about 4 months ago. When I got there. I was greeted. Then I was told to fill out the paperwork and return it when i finish. I did. Then they told me to have a seat and wait until called. I did. I was called back about 5 minutes later and the girl that prepped me was really nice. after about a 4 minute wait, the "doctor" came in and he had been on a phone call about getting some new partnership with another business and how someone else wasnt qualified and how much money he paid. Then he went on about he should have some kind of perks or something for the amount of money he paid. After he finished his conversation, the guy came and did my eye test then said here put these contacts on. While i was doing that, he said he has to make a call and would be right back. He got back on the phone with someone talking about a business deal and money again. So after about 5 minutes he came back and asked did they fit, i said yes then he said okay and walked away. I thought he would ask questions but he didnt. So i basically LITERALLY CHASED behind him at the office to ask him about a problem i was having with my eye (which i put on the paper but he never asked). My eye squeaks when i rub it and i think i need some procedure or something. He said "HMMM thats weird" after i rubbed my eye and let him hear it. Then he said make an appointment with another doctor (he neamed the doctor) then left to get back on the phone. (OMG wtf?? ) so i went to the front desk. Got my bill paid and asked was anyone going to order contacts. They said to wait about 4 weeks to see how these feel then call in and order some and i could pay over the phone. ) wtf.. okay. im out never going there again lol

You could do much better that what this place offered. The person who took eye measurements for my exam was polite, but thats about it. To get the measurements, she wiped down the part where your chin rests with so much rubbing alcohol that I still have a bit of sting in my nose and throat from it. The cigarette smoke in her clothes didnt help. Dr. Hookers exam was one of the worst Id received. It was just another day in the office to him and I was just another person he was obligated to exam. He was corgial but not overly friendly. I felt rushed throughout the exam which took every bit of only 3 - 4 minutes. I really dont feel like I received a good examination. Their selection of frames was not very good. Im 43 and not ready to give into something my mom or dad would wear. I like some style, but their selections appeared to be overly priced rip offs. However, since Im not up on the latest eyewear designers I may be misinformed. They just didnt have anything even remotely close to something I would be interested in. I wished I could still see Dr. Sandy who is in the Costco at Hacks Cross and Winchester, but he doesnt carry my insurance again.

The lady that prepped me was extremely polite and very likable. Dr. Hooker simply acted like he would rather be any place but there. Forgot to do my contact exam, blamed it on the young lady who prepped me (I even saw on the report that she pulled up where she wrote that I wanted glasses and contacts, so I know it was him). He then told her that she should have "told" him. I felt bad for her. (Note to people in positions of authority: it is -never- acceptable to berate the people who work for you, especially in front of patients.) The man should not be practicing, period. I wish I had read the reviews here first. Also, it took three weeks for me to get my glasses, and when I finally called, they told me they had been ready for three days.

Worst eye care I have had in the past 20 years of wearing glasses and contacts. Please do not let these people waste your time. They do not call when your lenses have come in - mine sat at the desk for 2 weeks before I called to check. Dr. Hooker spends all of 10 minutes "examining" your eyes. When I called back to discuss my trial pair of contacts, they did not even have record of what contacts they ordered for me. It has been 2 months since I went in for my exam and I still do not have a box of contacts. I have put in numerous phone calls to no avail. Please go to a doctor who will actually CARE for your eyes because these people DO NOT.
