It is very rare that I write a review. When I do, its mostly because of extreme negative experience. Not this one. Im so impressed with the doctor (Landess), staff, and their equipment. Let me break it down. Facility - clean, well kept, new equipment & technology, plenty of seating areas, comfortable chairs. Staff - From the moment I scheduled my appointment over the phone to the moment I left, service was top notch. Very polite, pleasant, and professional. Staff actually look like they enjoy working there. Doctor - Dr. Landess is the best eye doctor Ive ever seen, and Ive been wearing glasses since 4th grade so imagine how many Ive gone to. I waited probably like 10 mins, and when he came in he sincerely apologized for the wait and said they were running behind schedule today. I was thinking they were pretty fast. He is so thorough. They definitely examine your eyes much more than other places Ive ever been to. The retinal scan photos are very neat and helpful when the doctor was explaining what he found. Other doctors have just told me, "youre all good. No issues" and wouldnt bother explaining what all theyve done. Seriously, I cannot praise this place enough. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient at McLean County Eye Center for about five years now and every visit has been top-notch. From the doctors, to the eyewear professionals, the experience has been great. They are willing to help and go above and beyond to find what you are looking for. The technology used is beyond that of other practices and I was provided detailed information on why my prescription slightly changed from my previous visit as well as how to continue to take care of my eyes and new frames. Great selection of frames with the stock different each time you go and they took the time to find what fit me best. Thank you for your commitment to providing great service to Blo-No!

This office is exceptional in every way! Dr Landess has current, extensive knowledge with the care and treatment of the eye. He has the uncommon ability to combine professional expertise with very personal, understandable discussions. The people who work at MCEC are highly skilled and very gracious. Many feel like good friends. Another remarkable characteristic of MCEC is the timeliness of each visit. I feel my time is very respected and the flow within the office is flawless, much like a skillfully designed timepiece. Our entire family loves this office!

Very happy with both the Doc and the staff. However, I have had the most interaction with the optical department. I got new glasses in mid August and while it took numerous visits to get them adjusted the experience, while frustrating, was worked on by several different staff members. They were all very accommodating and patient. Yesterday magic happened when Sean finally found the solution. Thanks to all for sticking with me and solving the problem.

The personnel are all very competent, friendly, and courteous. They clearly want to, and do, provide both care and assurance that I am receiving outstanding state-of-the-art optometric evaluations and clear explanations of procedures and prognoses. All of my questions are answered fully to my satisfaction. The care that I receive at MCEC is the reason for my returning, confidently, year after year for at least a couple of decades.

Each time Ive had an appointment at this place, theyve been between 20-30 minutes late before they get to me. The place is always busy and I feel like you spend most of the time with their staff and little time with the actual doctors, who seem rushed. I probably wont go back.
