Ill start with the bad and move on the good. During the initial meeting with the doctor, she said that I was going to need glasses but that shed like to dialate my eyes to get a better idea of what shes working with. So, she directed me to the lobby to pick out frames, etc. This whole process took about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, my boyfriend paid for the visit and the frames, and I was directed back into the screening room. I waited for 20 minutes and then came back into the lobby wondering what was up. I had been in their office for and hour and half already. When the doctor came in she said that should instead get a pair of $2.00 reading glasses from Walgreens and call it a day. Apparently not sensing I was highly annoyed that she had me spend almost an hour picking out frames, etc., she goes on to tell me about their referral program! Nice try. That being said, the receptionist really made the place. She was super friendly and attentive. She seemed knowledgeable, and she was great at keeping the conversation going during the preliminary vision tests. The "glasses specialist" guy took a while to warm up, but all-in-all, hes a good guy. He had great advice as to what kind of glasses would look good on me, and had a good strategy for picking a pair. In sum, I left their office dissatisfied with the service and dont think Id go back. I think I will wait a while before I cancel the appointment for next year, just in case.

Ive been a patient since 2002 and have never had a single complaint. Dr. Maursetter is fabulous, and really takes the time to listen and answer any questions. I developed a degenerative corneal disease a few years back. The Dean Care ophthalmologist said there was no good treatment and it would progress as I aged, no matter what I did. Dr Maursetter suggested I try fish oil tablets. I figured why not? And I havent had another episodes in more than 2 years. The optician James has an amazing gift for suggesting absolutely the BEST frames in the shop (I have tired on 15+ pairs and I always come back to his first pick), and he takes the fitting and adjustments very seriously. You will leave with glasses that are perfect for you, every time. Amy and Robyn are wonderful too, so helpful and personable Honestly, coming here feels more like a visit with friends than a trip to the doctor.

Isthmus Eye Care and Doctor Victor Connors helped solve a problem that my previous optometrist did not. My eyesight is unusual and apparently difficult to work with, as each eye is very different from the other. Dr. Connors was able to develop a trifocal prescription for me that helps with both my nearsighted eye and the other eye which is farsighted. In my 4 visits to the clinic, the staff has been very friendly and professional. Ken Wood, one of the clinic’s opticians, was very helpful in working on the trifocals, as it seems the placement of the 3 different lenses needs to be quite precise. With my old glasses, I would find excuses not to wear them. Not so now, as I can see so much better with these new ones. I would recommend Isthmus Eye Care and Doctor Connors without hesitation.

Without glasses or contacts, Im legally blind. Fortunately my vision is correctable. Being very active, 99% of the time I prefer wearing contacts rather than glasses. As I approached 50 yrs old my near vision was compromised while wearing contacts so I resorted to reading glasses over my contacts. That worked, but its frustrating putting reading glasses on/off/on at work. Then, trying to read restaurant menus had me borrowing my wifes glasses every time we went out. Isthmus Eye Care changed that. Dr. Maursetters analysis of my vision needs and creative solutions has eliminated my need to wear reading glasses while maintaining my perfect distance vision. Now THATS cool, and very much appreciated. My reading glasses have become a paperweight on my desk.

Dr Callie Maursetter is by far the best eye doctor I have ever been to. She is very professional and thorough and takes the time to explain everything. She remembers things you are involved in and chats with you about them on a personal level. Their high tech eye photography machine is amazing and captures much more detail than the old method of them looking thru magnifiers into your eye. You are able to see on the computer in full size color photos how the inside of your eyes look as she explains things. As mentioned in other reviews, she takes the time to educate you on your own eye health. I would also like to say, OUTSTANDING!!

Finally, a good eye doctor! I researched every eye doctor on my healthcare plan and these people are the only ones who had it together! They have spent a lot of time fitting me with contacts and Im very happy with the results. I feel very confident about the health of my eyesight. I interacted with everyone in the office and the optician even adjusted 2 pairs of eyeglasses I already had. I went to the east side location due to insurance. Their east side office isnt fancy, but I was happy with the service. I have already sent someone to see them and they were happy too. Very informative web site.

I went to Isthmus Eye Care for the first time in June for a comprehensive eye exam and have since had two follow-up appointments and one walk-in for various fittings, eye needs, etc. Each time, Ive worked with different staff members/doctors bringing the total number of employees Ive interacted with to at least 7. You would think with the diversity of staff interactions, odds are that there would be at least one weak link in the chain. Not here. Everyone Ive worked with has been extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I cannot recommend the group here highly enough.

We were new to the area and I developed a "floater" and called the office. The staff was very helpful over the phone and got me right in with Callie Maursetter,O.D. She did a thorough exam, explained everything and gave me directions on what to look for and what to do. Since that time, I have had other exams and have always had great care by everyone in the office. I would recommend this office and Callie Maursetter to anyone!

Friendly staff and excellent service. Ive seen two of the optometrists and both were enjoyable to work with and quick to determine my prescription. They suggested lenses best suited for my work on computers all day. There is a decent selection of frames but the prices certainly arent the lowest youll find. Id much rather see the frames in person than order online though.

This is the best in eye care out there Dr. Conners is totally awesome and i know i am in good hands with him.The office staff is really caring about insurance and and your wallet.It just makes plain sense to stay here when you know this business cares about you financially and health wise.You guys rock and we so appreciate your services!!!!!!!! keep up the excellent work

Dr. Maursetter is VERY good with taking the time to explain everything and give you options for your eye care needs!!! It shows she really has genuine concern. She is patient with each appt. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have never been to an eye Dr. who took the time to educate me such as she does. OUTSTANDING!!!
