We live in Chesterfield and drove over half an hour because the reviews were so high and we thought this a better choice than the dozen of vets we passed from our house to this location. When we arrived, I was not greeted at the window. Once I finally received my new client paperwork, no one was at the window to accept the paperwork. With the forms, I attached the puppy shot/health history. Once we saw the Vet, we realized they didnt give the vet any of the history we provided. I walked from the vet appt to ask the front desk if they had the paperwork and they didnt know what I was talking about. They kept questioning me as if I lost it. When I went back to my appointment I told the vet they were looking for it but it significantly delayed our puppy shot appt because they lost the previous records. They found it after the Vet herself had to leave the appointment and speak to the front desk in order to get things moving faster. After finally getting those things found (they were our originals so finding them was IMPERATIVE) we were able to finish the appt. The appointment itself was dissatisfying. We had some concerns and were trying to understand the suggestions but the vet kept repeating the same words and seemed annoyed at talking the time to explain. The Vet was extremely robotic and I started to feel ashamed with asking her questions and explaining my concerns. For example, we explained that our puppy was mostly housebroken and crate trained but the past few days he had multiple accidents in the house and seemed frantic in his crate. She simply said Maybe you need to take him out more. I was put off by this comment because since he is a pup we take him out at LEAST once an hour. After water, naps, playtime, eating, after even relaxing on the couch. Then she asked if we were new dog owners. We were not, but I felt even less confident with her attitude. Then, at the end of the visit we were checking out and I explained since we got our pet from a shelter, that the hospital was listed as providing the pet checkup for free. They needed to see the contract which was fine, but the office worker tried to read through and highlight/mark on our original contract! I showed her the list that FAH was listed on and she said that a pet visit was $59.95(somewhere in that range) and that it was already included in the vaccinations so we werent able to use our referral. Her demeanor was welp, Its already included so too bad. Since she mentioned how much a standalone visit was, I wondered why she wasnt able to discount that from amount we had to pay for vaccinations. I was growing frustrated with them losing the paperwork, the uninterested vet, and trying to ruin our original copies, that I decided to not argue further and just leave as quickly as possible. This place had such high reviews I didnt think we could make a wrong choice but we were sorely mistaken. We wont make this mistake twice.

Ive been taking my pets to this animal hospital for over 20 years. We have since moved out of the area, but we continue and will continue to travel to take our pets to be seen by the staff at the hospital. The office staff is very helpful and friendly and we absolutely love Dr Parr. Shes world class, caring, informed, everything that you wish your own doctor was lol. I always joke if I could have her for my dr I would :) If you are looking for a vet this is THE ONE that you want to go to. If you have an emergency, they are very quick to react and get you in to see a doctor. Ive lost pets over the years, and the staff has always treated my pets (alive, or passed (ashes)) with genuine care. We will continue to bringing our pets to this hospital. We just adopted 2 new boys and they will have their appointment to meet Dr Parr and the staff when their shots are due. The next generation of furry kids will soon be meeting the wonderful staff of this hospital. Thank you all for all that you do. Its very much appreciated Leslie Johnson

I really enjoy the care and compassion that Florissant Animal Hospital provides for my dog, my best friend, King. King is very shy around new people and doesnt let anyone too close to him but here the staff are very friendly and patient with him and he warms up to the staff a lot quicker then anywhere else I have taken him to. I also feel very confident in the care that they provide him with. The Doctors really know what they are talking about and are very informative in telling me what they are doing, why they have to do it, and what needs to be done, if any, on my part. With all that being said I will not go anywhere else to get King what he needs because at Florissant Animal Hospital King feels safe and thats all that matters when it comes to dog, my best friend . Thank You Florissant Animal Hospital for giving the best care to King!!!!

I have been taking my special needs cats to Dr. Marquardt for several years (my childhood pets also went there when I was growing up, but that was long before Dr. Marquardt). She and the staff are very caring, and Dr. Marquardt is very willing to listen to my input and ideas (as I do a great deal of research on feline nutrition, disease, testing, treatment, etc.) She always takes as much time as necessary and I never feel rushed, and she is very patient with my problem child (Tillie). My eldest girls go in for testing 4 times a year, and Dr. Marquardt made a schedule for them to maximize the value for my dollar. The front desk staff is very outgoing and friendly (I am especially fond of Debbie). They also just started offering a three year non-adjuvanted feline rabies vaccine at my behest. Thank you, Florissant Animal Hospital! :-)

I have bringing my dogs (8 now) to Florissant Animal Hospital For over 20 years. They have always provided amazing, top quality heath services both preventative and for serious health issues. They have always been supportive for any issue, especially making decisions regarding quality of life issues. I have seen Dr. Angela Parr for most of those 20 years. She has always been very professional & knowledgeable with any issue. Its very apparent that she cares deeply for her patients & always knows all my dogs by names, even the ones not receiving services at the visit. I have had others tell me that FLOAH is "too expensive", but I always tell the that I have confidence in the medical & support staff to provide the absolute best care and support for my dogs & I through the many years I have taken my "children" there.

I have a 15 year old Poodle mix named Hollie. She is my baby! I have had her groomed at Florissant Animal Hospital for the past 3 years. Usuallly she sees Jennifer and she adores her. The past time she went to Hiroko and I was a little afraid because Jennifer know all of my dogs quirks. Jennifer is always so sweet with her and I always feel good about leaving Hollie with her. I was pleasantly surprised at how gentle Hiroko was with her. When I picked Hollie up she looked absolutely beautiful and again was impressed with how sweet Hiroko was with her! The staff is always friendly and the office is always clean! One of the ladies that works at front desk is Debbie. She is always so professional and goes out of her way to help! I recommend the grooming services and my neighbor swears by the vet services.
