For close to 20 yrs, Ive been rescuing strays, trapping, spaying and neutering cats in Springfield, on a small scale. Ive been using SAAF for about fours years now, and theyre the best in the business. Theyre professional, very courteous, very patient, and your animal will be very well cared for during its stay. Just yesterday I brought a female home from their clinic, and if you didnt know shed had surgery, you wouldnt know it all. She feels great and her surgery wound is almost nonexistent. I not only trust them with stray and feral cats, but I would trust them my own pet cats as well. I especially appreciate their great prices, making my little rescue operation possible. Its true, the parking is tight, but its well worth the walk or the wait for a space. I would walk a mile to get to their clinic, even if a vet was right next door. Not only do they make it affordable to spay and neuter your pets but they take such good care of them! They service is exceptional and the employees are wonderful! They are friendly, kind and even though they are always busy they dont rush you in "kissing your babies farewell" for the day. But at the same time check in and pick up is very quick (as far as paperwork). Ive had two puppies spayed and micro chipped here and would absolutely take a future pet here. I dont know of my girls are just REALLY good or if its the wonderful care Saaf took in closing their incision but neither of my girls messed with theirs AT ALL! I genuinely can not say enough good things about Saaf house or its veterinarians and assistants! Please help control the homeless and abandoned pet population as well as lost pets! I am so thankful for SAAFhouse! I have taken in several dogs that were found and the owners never located. I like to make sure they are fixed before finding a new home for them and Saafhouse is not only affordable to my poor college student budget their service is top notch. The facility is so clean and the staff is always helpful. I recently had to bring a dog back for a recheck because she was displaying signs of being in heat AFTER her spay. They examined her at no charge and assured me everything was fine. She had no further complications and is doing very well. I have also used SAAFhouse to sterilize stray cats in my neighborhood as well as my dad s. It s unfortunate that too many people are irresponsible but SAAFhouse makes it easier for those of us who care to help stop the cycle of unwanted puppies and kittens.

No issues with the price or the service. However, I wish theyd justraise their price by $5 and make the cone of shame included. I didnt know any better and drove all the way home before my puppy started licking her wound. By that time SAAF was closed so I had to turn around and head to a nearby pet store and pay $15 for one. Not really SAAFs fault, per se, but I wish it would have been included instead of optional.

I live on a farm with lots of barn cats. I decided I needed to keep our cat population under control so needed to start spaying or neutering several cats. SAAF house is a big help. Only $25 to get a feral cat fixed. Ive taken 3 in (I rented a trap from saaf house) and all were well taken care of. They have an organized system which works. Im thrilled this service is available in Springfield.

Sent my cat home covered from head to toe in his own blood and feces all dried from neglect. Took him to a regular vet and had to tranquilize him to stop the bleeding and swelling of his incision. Will never go there again and you wouldnt too if you feared for your pets safety.

Had a 50 pound male dog and a 3 pound male kitten neutered. Both recovered quickly; neither even seemed to notice. Great selfless service. Will get my future pets fixed here too. These people have a lot of practice!
