I cannot recommend Galloway enough. We have gone here since 2003 when Dr. Hamaker was on St. Louis St. The staff has always been amazing. Our 2 dogs LOVE going to the vets because they associate that place with lots of love and treats and more love, not with rectal thermometers and shots and discomfort. Also, we feel their prices are fair and they are transparent. You leave the appointment with a detailed "report card" of what procedures took place that day, exactly which shots your pet received and when those vaccinations need to be renewed. I have been in the "back of house" a few times when one of my dogs was being boarded there during an injury, and it is just as spotless as the front of house, and just as spotless as any place youd want your pet to receive medical care. I recommend Galloway Village Vet to any friend who needs to find a new vet, and now I have many friends who are also Galloway Village Vet customers, because they provide an excellent standard of care. You can also book appointments online, or order refills on monthly meds or anything else you might need online, so its ready when you stop by. Very convenient. And I havent event mentioned how much fun they are! They provide pictures, your pets with Santa and an elf, at Christmas time for a donation to the Humane Society, and there are Christmas treats in the lobby too. Theres the Halloween costume contest and the office cat or two who will come say hi (or just check you and your rowdy dogs out from afar when youre paying, as is always the case with me and my lot!), and the staff just all seem to get along and love their jobs.

My first visit to Galloway was when we found a stray dog (now known as "Sadie" or "The Sadekins") with severe injuries. It looked like she had been hit by a car and had been on her own for some time. I got to be a regular at the clinic during Sadies recovery process which included amputating her back right leg, a femoral head ostectomy on her back left leg, plenty of vaccinations and LOTS and LOTS of love, care, treats, and attention from Drs. Rudd and Cook and their amazing team. Sadie was a mess when we found her -- even so, I felt extremely comfortable during her entire time with Galloway. Its obviously a place created and staffed by animal lovers for people who love their furry family members. Its now been a little over a year since Sadie received her clean bill of health and shes in stellar shape. Shes not a three-legged dog that struggles to get around -- shes a seventeen-legged, turbo-powered, jet-fueled, whirling ball of canine craziness thanks to our friends at Galloway. In short: Best. Vet. Ever!

Horrible place ! The vet was an absolute idiot . she assumed the worse aka $$$$ didnt even suggest testing for the more common reasons or the Easy fix . wanted me to medicate my dog for seizures even tho she didnt have a seizure! After racking the bill higher and higher told me to collet a urin sample and bring it back sending is on our way and insisting I medicated my dog with meds she didnt need but refused to test for a simple U.T.I her self . let is walk out with no answers and meds I refuse to give with out answers or test confirming my puppy need . she never asked about my dogs urin habits or anything then tested for outrageous stuff . ridiculous!!! Dont go there unless you just want a high bill with NO answers !

BAD BAD BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My father called to see if he could take his dog in to get the dog nails trimmed as a walk in. The Receptionist said sure come on in anytime. My father in bad health, no transportation walked 2 miles to get his dog nails trimmed. When he arrived, receptionist tells my father he needs an appointment. My father explains he called, was told to come on in anytime. Have mind you the weather is hot and he explained he had walked all the way there and was told to come in. He was NOT told by appointment only over the phone. The receptionist turned him away.

Galloway veterinary clinic is great! Their staff is wonderful and the boarding portion of the clinic is top notch. We have a large Great Pyrenees and they let him play with the other dogs in their dog yard and they have large pins for him since he is a large breed. I highly recommend them.

We have been using this vet for over 3 years. We also use the boarding services. My dogs wag there tails and get excited even when we arrive. That says a lot to me. The people are friendly and explain everything. And the prices are fair. I would recommend them.

Would like to thank the clinic and Dr. Rust for loving Dot as much as we did. I know she was a dog but you guys gave her 9 lives. Even though she was sick or hurt she was ALWAYS excided to come see you. You are the BEST

The staff is dedicated, loving and past biology students of MSU who know what they are doing. Our Rosie is a member of our family and is not cared for outside the home by just anyone. Only Galloway.

We love our vet! We are very attached to our cats and a bit over protective. The whole staff is so helpful and kind. The vets take the time to listen and really care about the pets.

I.used to love Galloway but the heart seems to be gone. Profit > pets Very sad to post this as I was a big fan. I hope to edit this in the future saying things have improved.

Dr Cook gave me options that I had been told I did not have she was very open to my opinions and ideas. The other staff were wonderfully friendly.
