If I could give 1/8th of a star, I would. Ive owned dogs all of my life and have been to my fair share of vet appointments. This place was by far the worst I could have imagined. I have no idea why the people at this place (including the vet-Tammy, and the vet techs) even work with animals, their disdain for my dog was evident from the second we walked in the door. I wish I would have trusted my instincts and left, but we stayed. We had an appointment, but didnt see the vet until almost an hour of waiting. (Again, we should have left.) When we did finally see the vet, she was in and out so fast I had to ask her questions IN THE DOORWAY and she was so busy trying to rush out (they werent even busy) I only got to ask one of my several questions. She barely even looked at my dog but charged me $30.00+ dollars for an exam. She didnt even notice his umbilical hernia-which every other vet weve been to has noticed and mentioned to us. She didnt glance at his records or ask anything about his medical history either. I was led to believe they gave him the 3 years rabies shot, which is standard in Missouri, but when I looked at the paperwork they gave him a one year. They didnt ask which we wanted or anything. I will be making a formal complaint with the licensing board and the BBB, Im so disgusted with the "service" we received here. You cant do worse than this vet clinic!

I took my cat to this clinic to get her declawed. When I walked in, the front desk girls pretty much ignored me until I asked for their assistance. I then went into the exam room and tried talking with the vet about the procedure and also some other concerns of my cat, but she would not listen to me at all. She was rude and didnt let me finish talking before she tried to make me buy some super expensive medication for my cat with no testing or anything! I had the declawing procedure done and we got her back the same day (which after looking it up I learned that is not normal since good vets like to keep the animal over night to monitor them as the drugs ware off) and upon getting her home noticed that her paws had not been bandaged right. The tape was stuck directly ON the wounds and her fur all the way up her leg. We ended up reopening some of her wounds and ripping half her fur off her legs trying to get the wrappings off. I will never bring any pet here again.

I am so grateful that I had Dr. McKnight and Dr. Smith care for my pug Chloe for the past 8-10 years. I always felt that they had Chloes best interest at heart and truly cared for her as I did. The staff in the office were always friendly and helpful, and were kind and supportive when they learned of Chloes passing. I received a hand written sympathy card signed by the staff after she passed away. I know that may sound like nothing, but it meant a lot to me to know that they took the time to write messages to me. You dont see that much in our world today. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian.

Weve had very pleasant trips to the VetStop. My dog loves the place and the staff is very friendly and pleasant. Shyann was there for an ear infection and it cleared right up after following the vets instructions. Unfortunately, Shy got another ear infection so I took her back, the vet gave us different medicine and she has been doing good since then (when she lets me pin her down for the meds, LOL)!! The vet and the staff encourage me to stop by with her anytime just for treats so she gets more used to them and it wont be traumatic, but it hasnt been an issue yet, Shy likes it there! My next visit Im taking the cat too!

My family have been clients at Vet Stop for over 10 years. The docs and staff have taken great care of our Delilah, Samson, Pooh Bear, Mo, Charlie, Skittle, Sunny, and Coach. They have helped us welcome new family members into our home and taken care of every little problem I have brought to them. Since we tend to adopt older animals, we dont get to have them around as long as we would like. They are so sympathetic and kind and actually mourn with us when it is time for them to cross the rainbow bridge. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and available when needed. I wouldnt think about going anywhere else!

We have used Vet Stop exclusively since we moved to St. Peters in 1989. We have found Dr. McKnight and her staff to be friendly and helpful every time we have brought our pets in, whether it be for routine check-ups or specific issues. They have always been as concerned as we have been when there were other than routine checkups. When circumstances dictated our pets needed to be put to sleep, the compassion shown by the doctors and staff helped ease the pain for us. The entire staff has always been helpful and courteous. We wouldnt think of entrusting our friends with anyone else.

I had a horrible experience with my kitten at this vet. I would not recomend this vet to anyone. My kitten was nervous around 3 adult cats, 2 loud birds, as well as a large dog who happened to have an appointment at the same time. They have had me worried about my cat since, spending hunderds of dollars on tests that all came up negative, based on his "scared" behavior in the vet. The vet also insulted me for waiting until the last minute to get him fixed. Do yourselves a favor and choose a different vet if at all possible.

Worst place to take your pet to. My cat was in so much discomfort and pain from getting his fron paws removed. The vets did NOT give my cat any type of pain relief medication for his surgery and the openings from the removed claws bled from the moment I picked him up from this place. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TOUCH PETS. I ended up having to bring him to an emergency vet hospital the next day to find out that his paws were highly infected and to finally get him pain killers. It was such an awful experience here.

I love Vet Stop! They are so friendly and helpful. I have been bringing my elderly cat their for a few years and we both feel at ease. They take the time to discuss all options for your pet and they even call to check up on my cat to see how she is doing after I have her shaved, teeth cleaned, or any other procedure done. They have NEVER been pushy in trying to get me to buy things I dont need unlike other vets i have been to. I would send any of my friends and family with pets to this vet!

We have been coming to Dr. Smith and Dr. McKnight for over 10 years. They have been amazing and their staff is just as great. Our visits have ranged from well visits/shots to emergencies, surgeries and unfortunately the euthanasia of one of our oldest fur-babies. We are always able to get in in a timely manor regardless of the circumstance which is always comforting to know. However, most of all we like them because of their sincere compassion for all animals as well as their owners.
