My spouse found a lost Yorkie in the ditch on Forty Arpent Road.....with only a rabies tags for Thibodaux Animal Hospital, so she took the dog there. The stray dog urinated in the office on the tile floor once, and the vet, Dr. Melvin yelled at my spouse to take the dog away. He gave her the owners address and told her to take the dog back to the owner herself. I found this inappropriate behavior for a Veterinarian and called to discuss with the Mr. Melvin. He proceeded to yell at me and tell me that we should have left the dog in the ditch instead of bringing it into his office. I am blown away at the lack of compassion and pure disrespect of this vet. Please never trust this individual with your pet

Dr Melvin Elliott is great with animals and it has been my experience that I am also treated very well each and every time Ive gone to him with my precious dogs and my cat... He cares for animal patients and their owners. I dont understand the bad wraps hes had obviously with other people!

Dr. Melvin has always treated me with respect. He was very compassionate as my elderly dog approached the end of her life. I will definitely use him again when I get another pet.
