The clinic in general including other staff DVMs is probably ok. These comments regard the behavior Of Karen Campbell the clinics resident dermatologist DVM. This individual appears to have a communication disability. On two separate occasions regarding two rather expensive tests the manner in which she reported back on test results consisted entirely of a brief synopsis delivered in emails each of which contained little in the way of substantive conclusions and contained virtually no recommendations for a subsequent protocol. Campbells email reports also demonstrated that she did not adequately understand my pets case history especially regarding current and past prescription medications. Two attempts to get Campbell to follow up with a phone call were unsuccessful more than one week after the emails were received. These two test cost $700. My primary vet recommended getting Campbells attention and to "hold her feet to the fire" to give adequate communication regarding the meaning of these test from the perspective of what she is supposed to be: ie., a professional dermatologist DVM. One final observation. If this were a human case rather than a dog the behavior of this doctor would constitute medical malpractice and her professional career would be in jeopardy.

If you have a referral to take your pet to Dr. Ehling and her team, you are probably dealing with a difficult diagnosis. You and your pet couldnt be in better hands, though. Dr. Ehling explained the science clearly, but even more importantly, she was compassionate towards both me and my pet. She helped me determine the best course of care and, finally, to decide when it was time to let my pet go. She never pressured me or tried to sway me, but gave advice when asked. Her professional expertise and kindness make her stand out amongst the vets I have known, and her team members are likewise knowledgable and caring. I cant say enough good things about the Mizzou Animal Cancer Center.

After a journey of three skin specialist, the third time was the charm with Dr. Campbell. My two shi-tzus have been suffering for several years multiple allergies resulting in terrible licking, scratching and infections. Since going to Dr. Campbell their symptoms have been drastically reduced.
