On March 21st I lost my English bulldog due to Dr. Amy Brogden. I took him into her office because he had developed a bad infection due to some type of insect bite. His testicles were swollen, as was the rest of his rear section. She immediately started telling me he needed to be neutered and then even went so far as to tell me he had a tumor in his testicles without even doing any type of biopsy. I told her "no" he was 8 years old and he would not survive it, and she argued. She did some blood work, and it showed no signs of cancer, only that he had an infection. After giving him some mild antibiotics she sent him home and proceeded to tell me in 2 wks she would neuter him. To make a long story short I ended up rushing him to another state to a University of Vet. Med. where he died in a few hours from Septic poisoning from the infection. They told me the tumor Dr. Brogden felt was from a swollen gland. My bulldog I was told should have been put in the hospital immediately and given IVs of a very strong antibiotic and he would have lived. She blew off the infection even after telling me she had seen four other dogs that week with the same thing. I am outraged and am seeking legal advise

I took a tour of the facility, but have not personally used any of their services. On my tour, they showed me their high-end boarding, which was very nice (webcams, raised beds) - and very expensive. Their room-with-a-view looked out to an air conditioning unit, which Im pretty sure is not that calming. Their standard boarding was very substandard - cement floors with long wall drains, no bedding or toys allowed, and no sound muffling so it was very loud. I was told no toys or beds because they get caught in the wall drains when the cells are hosed out and clog up the drainage. So, beware pet owners. If they dont remove your pets items before cleaning, who is to say they will remove your pets. And even standard "prison" boarding was expensive. I was then given a pricing guide that was about 15% higher than my vet. Its a lovely office, with lovely surgical facilities, but they charge you for all the shiny stuff. And I dont think they are overly concerned with pet comfort. Based on my tour, I will not be taking my pets there.

The veterinary care here is top notch. My dog/hunting partner suffered a paw injury during our first hunt of the season, and within 24 hours it had swollen up huge and she would not put any pressure on it. We left a message with Animal Medical Clinic on the Sunday morning before Christmas (outside of normal hours, obviously), hoping they might call us back at some point that day. Dr. Bailey left church and returned our call almost immediately to set up an appointment after church. Dr. Bailey was very knowledgeable and couldnt have been nicer. He cleaned up her wound, prescribed some antibiotics, and did "phototherapy" around her paw. She was using her paw again in about 36 hrs and was back hunting in less than a week. I cant speak highly enough of the thoughtful care provided by Dr. Bailey.

Our family moved to the area about 3 years ago, at the time our dog was 1. Most vets we encounter are hesitant with our dog simply because of her breed, from day one with this office everyone has been so friendly and informative! Not once have they ever mistreated us or our precious furkid, they always greet her kindly! They have done surgery on her, taken blood, helped us with her skin allergy issues, and they are all very caring and personable! My husband and I travel a lot and every time we need to we board her there, which for a big dog I hardly consider $18 a day too much! They give us plenty of notice when her shots are due and are very sweet about when I call to check on her while were away and shes in boarding. We love them and my dog seems to too!

The Doctors, vet techs and other staff are top-notch at Animal Medical Clinic. They provide professional care and pet products at reasonable prices. Drs. Krapach, Bailey and Potter are very competent and caring. We recently had to put down a beloved dog suffering from an incurable illness. Dr. Potter was extremely compassionate and caring throughout our dogs illness. She provided a gentle death for our beloved pet and helped our family get through this difficult process.

They do a wonderful job here taking care of your furry family members and they have a wonderful facility, however they are extremely expensive. I have had several cats in the past and I have never had vaccines and blood-work cost more than $300, this place charged me nearly $800...for one cat. They have the only 24 hour emergency care here in Vicksburg and they know it. I guess they have to pay for their nice equipment somehow...

Always caring. I thought it would be time-consuming to take my boy in without having an appointment, but its not a problem at all.
