I worked for Mark and Margie Lucas for approximately five years. I an ashamed that I stayed that long as there were many incidents wherein they were dishonest and even cruel. I witnessed Mark Lucas kick a Dalmatian with a broken leg and start performing surgery on animals that were not completely under anesthesia yet and they cried out in pain. Margie Lucas shorted employees on their paychecks (more than once, so not accidental). Mark Lucas often charged clients for procedures that were not performed. He also recommended and charged for services that were not necessary. As far as their "Shelter." the animals are not cared for in a manner that anyone would consider acceptable. I have seen cats left with upper respiratory infections until they were so sick that they had to be euthanized because he did not want the expense of the antibiotics. Many past employees have begun to come forth with other cases of neglect, abuse and dishonesty that Mark Lucas wishes to dismiss as "disgruntled employees." Please do not take your pets there.

Took my Cat Taco in for a checkup, spade, shots, microchip and declaw. The cost was very resonable. Taco started bleeding from one of her paws a few days later. Called Dr. Lucas after hours and he called me right back. Overall had a good experience with Dr. Jacob Lucas and the Animal Talk Staff. They were very friendly and I will be taking my dog to them now as well.

We are traveling with our dog from Colorado while shes recovering from a surgery. I was concerned about her incision when we got up this morning. I called Animal Talk since they where on our route and they got her right in. Staff is incredibly nice, vet was helpful and addressed my concerns. We recently lost our dog at age 12 due to age related problems. Frisbee had been cared for by Dr. Mark and the staff at Dardenne for many years. They always cared for Frisbee like he was a good friend not just a patient. For all services for your dog from health, training, grooming, and boarding I would recommend Dardenne Animal Medical Center.

We just went in for a free first physical. Dr Jacob was more than happy to spend all the time we needed answering questions. He was very knowledgeable and had answers for everything we asked him. The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly and made us feel comfortable. I would recommend this veterinarian to anybody who is looking for one.

I have used this vet for years. The staff and Doctor Lucas are very caring and always caring. Sometimes people write a review immediately after loosing a pet and so their experience is jaded by this loss. But you wont find a better vet with the experience and caring that Doctor Lucas has for the animals. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Lucas and his staff have been caring for our pets for over 12 years offering the very best care! Recently, we had an emergency with our new pup and Dr. Lucas dropped everything during off hours to immediately return to care for our new pup. Nothing but the best from Animal Talk!!

Taken all our animals here for many years. Great staff and Dr. Jake truly cares about every animal he sees. Always takes time to answer questions and doesnt try to bleed you dry. Plus their groomer is excellent! They also do animal rescue and adoption. Great great place to go!

DONT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!!! seemed like it was going to be a great place to go.. Dr. Lucas gave my dog her first round of shots at 8 weeks failed to tell me she already had parvo and had to go to wentzville animal hospital to save her.. DONT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!!!!!!

We first went to Animal Talk Medical Center to get our dogs groomed since our normal groomer was on maternity leave. Since then we have used Animal Talk for regular checkups to include vaccinations. They did an awesome job!
