I took my dog in on a Saturday morning and since they do not allow appointments we did have to wait for about an hour. The staff was friendly and hard at work though so I didnt have too much of the problem with the wait. When we got to see the vet, Dr. Ruggles, he was very thorough and didnt rush through our appointment even though he was the only vet on duty and had at least 4 patients waiting. Besides that he was very friendly and he even clipped my dogs nails. Ive never had a vet do that and I though it was a nice touch. I will be taking my dog back.

I think this is a dependably average vet. There are three vets available, and I recommend Dr. Ruggles. He correctly diagnosed my dogs condition and directed us toward specialized care (the other two vets downplayed the severity of the condition). The office staff is a bit flaky - tends to not remember repeat visitors and lose paperwork often. Otherwise, prices are good and hours are practical. They carry specialty foods and medicines.

I dont know about the staff there now, but growing up in Vicksburg from 1987 to 2005, the staff were wonderful. They saved my cats life, helped my puppys broken leg, and were able to keep my black labrador alive a week after a heartless neighbor poisoned her. These vets were great during my time. I dont know about now, but if its anything like it was back in the day, Id recommend them.

Have been using this animal hospital for years but Dr. Stephanie Duhon has caused us to take our business elsewhere. She has a terrible bedside manner and I wont subject myself or my pets to her anymore. Dr. Cordes and Ruggles are fine, but I cant take the chance any longer.
