Very frustrating office staff. When I dropped off my dog to be boarded, I asked for his anal gland to be expressed. When I picked up my dog, I asked if the simple procedure had happened. They couldnt find any record of it. I shared my concern, to which the front desk told me not to worry about it. I told them no, I needed to know if it had happened, and if not I would like it done. Again, I was told not to worry about it. I explained that my dog has "expressed" recently on furniture and that I was worried that he might do it again. The staff tried to assure me that he probably wouldnt do it again. I asked one more time if they could just do it to make sure the gland was empty. Finally, they let me know that no one was in the office that could do it, and that I would have to bring him back if I wanted it done. To recap, I requested the procedure when I dropped off my dog for boarding. They had the dog for several days. When I picked them up, they could not find any record of if they did, or did not, do the procedure. The front desk staff told me not to worry about it multiple times even though they did not know if the procedure was done. When I asked for it to be done while I was still there, they told me again not to worry about it. And finally, they conceded that no one was there to do it. And the whopper is that I would have to make another appointment. PS., No apologies were offered for the inconvenience on not knowing nor for directing me to make another appointment. Fortunately, there are several other vet centers in the area.

Weve taken our animals to this vet for the last several years and theyre always caring and considerate. They went above and beyond late last year when one of their vets performed emergency surgery to remove an eye for our little pup who was suffering terribly from pain. The vet was scheduled to take off for her Christmas holiday yet stayed and performed the emergency surgery. We moved about 20 miles away from the center 2 years ago and they gave us a referral for a vet in our new area, but because of the care they provide we continue to use their services... and wed drive even farther if we had to!

Dr. Joe & the rest of the staff are fabulous! I have two cats and two dogs who all LOVE going to see them. The hospital is clean and well-maintained, the staff is caring and helpful, and the doctors are very knowledgeable.

The BEST - for boarding, for wellness care, for diabetes care, and for senior care. These folks rule. And with three dogs and two cats, we have lots of experience! Chesterfield Veterinary Center is our second home!

Chesterfield has quite a few vets, but this one is the best! No doubt about it. My dogs are very well taken care of and I always feel welcome. Good job!

I think they have the best boarding facility in St. Louis County. Everyone is very nice and our dogs actually get excited to "go to school" every week.
