Worse place in Omaha to go to for mental disorders. I went there once and will never go back again. I tried getting on medication I needed for my disorder, they would not have it. They fought with me a lot and accused me of trying to get them so I can get high. I dont even drink alcohol. I told them they can drug test me every day for the rest of my life and you will never find any substance in me. They said yea, well have to do it. I said go for it. Do you think if I was really trying to abuse medication, I would have taken addictive pain killers after my dentist visit recently? No. I was going to try to get some toridol whichyou CANNOT get high off of. Dont you think I would have taken some hydrocodeine? I called them back the next day and told them I didnt want any. Im fine. Dont you think if I was a pill popper trying to get high, I would have taken the pills anyways? Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. They also tried saying I have bipolar when I told them I dont. They still gave me medication for it and made me feel outa test for it. I just have ADHD, ptsd, and anxiety disorder. I know my body better than them. My boyfriend has dated chicks with bipolar and Im nothing like this. I wish they would actually evaluate me. Theyre giving me medication for stuff I dont have thats making me worse then what I really am. I know a lot about medication. I just play stupid with everyone and act like I dont. I actually use to take benzos and prescribed methaphetamines, which is ADHD pills, like vyvanse, adderall, converts, etc. I never abuse those. I will be going somewhere else and have them actually evaluate me. Worse place for people with mental disorders. Ive have better service elsewhere. I forgot to add something. My boyfriends mom is never going there again either. Were going to chi instead. Might be smaller but theyre actually nice caring people. They called my mom (boyfriends mom) a liar about everything. She has the worst anxiety disorder I have ever heard of or seen in my ENTIRE life. She has severe acrophobia as well. They cut down her Xanax amount to 90%. She has been on that for over 25 years. She is use to 4 pills a day, but now takes 1. That is really dangerous to do to someones body and the detox process is horrendous. Id like to see that happen to them. They called her a lair and basically said shes lying about her bad anxiety. On top of that, she needs her dog to be a device dog because she gets panic/anxiety attacks in public and its NOT good. They said she is lying about that and denied her paper for a service dog. On top of all of that, theyre making her look really bad for to the state, which she has been trying for over 5 years to get approved. They gave her a bad recommendation for that as well. Which were all now skeptical about her getting ssdi because of unmc. If youre looking to get the right meds for what you really have, DO NOT GO HERE. Find somewhere else to go if you want the right stuff and to be treated accordingly. DO NOT GO HERE.

My wife had a baby here by C-section on a Saturday night. The some of the nurses (which we had about 10 different nurses) were very nice and helpful, but for the most part we felt like prisoners of a concentration camp. Immediately following the surgery, doctors, nurses, residents, and students from every department of the hospital woke her up in the middle of the night every hour or more and all throughout the day to ask questions and (most of them repeated what the last person said). All this going on while my wife is trying to keep up with nursing our baby and trying to get sleep. They had no consideration for her lack of sleep. My wife just went through 12 hours of labor and a C-section. They could have waited till morning to tell her all this stuff. Also they gave her every imaginable pill and poked for blood every hour. Some we tried to refuse but were bullied with scare tactics. We simply were not prepared to deal with this.

Staff just not caliber of Methodist system. Most staff at Methodist seem to care & are friendly. Durham Outpatient Center seems to treat mostly indigent/minority patients and staff, in general not friendly, and ill manored, perhaps as a result. Semi-private rooms are just gross and staff tripping over furnishings and equipment in too tight of a space- not to mention HIPPA issues and no patient privacy. Cringe- worthy stuff we really didnt want to hear about my husbands "roomy". Clock 4 hours slow!- No wonder he got confused. Poor pain control. Discharge reading/instruction materials plagiarized citing different source institutions which conflicted eachother. Also included about 6 other patients records!. Just sloppy. He had a good surgeon & Fellow specializing in minimally invasive techniques, though.

The service, rooms, food, and MOST of the staff was amazing. And u may be wondering why then am I giving them one star. Well, my aunt over heard a women talking to a doctor about he was going to talk on TV about all the "morons" that blew there hands up from the fireworks. I was at this hospital for an uncle of mine who sadly did blow up his hand from fireworks due to some poor choices and although he could have been more careful and it was stupid that lady had no right to call him and the rest of the people who this unfortunately happened to a moron, even if it was inderectly. She made us all feel bad and I hope she is happy to know that she just won you all a 1 star! Thanks to all of you who actually knew how to be professional and act appropriately in the work place. Way to go girl! ~Ava

Never say die. After a routine surgery my mother in law became infected with MRSR and was put in a medically induced coma for 5 days but never fully regained consciousness. Three months later she if now breathing through a tracheotomy with help of a respirator and being fed through a feeding tube. She has recieved CPR on several occasions and is going in for surgery to install a pacemaker despite having signed a DNR. People sign a DNR for this exact reason so they are not kept alive hooked to machines for months on end with no end in sight. Malpractice or insurance fraud?
