My son, a patient of Dr. Pierce for a number of years, needed to consult him again, as he had, for a number of years, an established, trusting relationship with Dr. Pierce, prior to his leaving the State to go to college. We were rudely informed that he would have to go through a new patient process and even that process was not possible since he was going to be a cash patient (something they do not accept) because his out of state medical coverage would not provide for him to see the Dr. he had come to trust. The policies of Intermed have created a system which is a masquerade of compassionate patient care , in my opinion. I ask the physicians who work there whether this is the reason they became physicians, to allow a sense of hard won trust to be so easily cast aside? Where is the heart in this? Frank Luongo

I had an appointment at the urgent care office on Friday afternoon for a 130 apt. I was seated in the room , medical assistant did her job and then said the nurse practitioner would be in. I sat in the room for 25 minutes with my mask on. I opened the door and asked the girls standing around the desk how much longer it would be. They said they would check and let me know. Ten Minutes passed and nobody got back to me. I had to get to another apt, so I told them I could not wait any longer. I left and nobody apologized or called me. I have been a patient at Intermed for years, but I am not impressed with their urgent care. I was their for a medical condition and no follow up at all

Patient of Dr. Ervin. I have had a great experience each time with him. Listens, asks questions and is very direct. He has never been the type to hand out medication like candy which is something I appreciate. The staff has been great at appointments, refills, getting back to me, ect. I know they have thousands of patients and they make it feel as close to a small practice as I could expect.

Treated for Thyroid issues but billed for something altogether different. Not entirely sure why but they refused to adjust accordingly and resubmit the bill to my insurance company. This is tantamount to billing fraud as far as I know.

My PCP is at Interned and Ive seen a sports medicine doc there. Outstanding! From the scheduling staff to the nurses to the docs, my experience with Intermed has been first rate and I give them my highest rating.

This is wrong address and they are located in South Portland for their urgent care facility not at this address. Also urgent care is open to only the Intermed patients - which is ridiculous.
