I am a brand new patient of Family Doctors of Green Valley and I must begin by confessing that I come to this clinic with a bit of a prejudice under my hat against doctors and doctors offices in general. In February I started having stomach pains that rapidly went from uncomfortable to debilitating to frightening and the need for a primary care physician arose. Not having a regular primary care physician, I went to the first medical office that I could recall seeing in my travels around town ... it was a horrible experience. Then I received a recommendation from my sister to see Dr. Vaquez at Family Doctors of Green Valley. The first thing that I loved about FDoGV is how pleasant the woman who scheduled my appointment was. I believe her name was Amy. She was literally my first impression of this clinic and a very, very good one. The office hours were another blessing as Ive had to completely exhaust all of my paid time off at work to make my previous doctors visits in other clinics. Evening appointment options are A GODSEND! I arrived for my appointment and loved the cleanliness of everything, the polished look that has a subconscious association with sterility which is precisely what one wants from a Drs office. At the same time, just enough color and decor to feel comfortable and inviting. Aside from the stronger lighting and the lack of a whispering fountain, the waiting room feels like a day spa - spotless yet comforting. Dr. Vazquez further added to the impress. I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved that there was a nurse present to transcribe my entire visit. My previous doctor repeatedly confused me with her other patients, made me repeat my symptoms to her, and asked about results for tests shed never ordered. None of this happened with Dr. Vazquez because everything I said was being put in writing as I said it. Dr. V knows his stuff - that became apparent almost immediately, and he LISTENS! It is SO SO important to have a physician that actually listens! I finally felt like I was being seen by someone who wanted to diagnose and treat me! All of the staff was incredibly helpful as well but the most shining example of service and care that I have met to date has to be Ynah and Ive not even met her in person yet. Dr. Vazquez ordered a test that Ive never heard of before with a scary sounding name and I felt intimidated but Ynah took charge of the situation as if the appointment were her own. She went to bat for me and ran the extra mile without hesitation like an olympian! She took note of my availability and said that she would call me back ... imagine my shock when she called me back just a few hours later! Shed made an appointment for me with the radiologist after confirming that they were covered by my insurance and, as luck would have it, she has also personally experienced this exact test that I will be having done so she took just a few quick but precious minutes to explain what would be required of me, what the discomfort level of it might be, and what to expect from an overall perspective. The comfort that this gave me .... beyond words. I felt like I could trust her and I feel educated now which is great because insufficient information gives me anxiety. Through multiple calls today to help answer my questions, Ynah has shown patience, compassion, a willingness to help resolve any issue that might arise and to make this entire experience as easy and comfortable for me as it can be. This will be my primary health care provider from now on and I will be avidly recommending them every chance that I get.

First Im a new patient, was planning on making this office my primary Drs. office. The doctor was great, the staff that handles records are ridiculously unprofessional. I didnt pass my ekg for the weight loss program and had to be referred to a specialist. I requested the referral and to be sent to the cardiologist 3 times and when I showed up for my appt. the only thing they had sent was my name, address and insurance info. Nothing for why I was being sent there (copy of ekg) or what they needed from the cardiologist in order to clear me for the program. I was going to transfer my ward, whom Im the legal guardian of, to this office also. I went in, in advance, filled out all paper work and asked for his records be requested transferred over before our (his) first visit. (He is mentally challenged, elderly and I do not know all his particulars). The front desk lady acted as though I had requested the most absurd thing! After a lot of explaining and arguing my point they got the records department to come out to me. He immediately understood, spoke to the Dr and said absolutely it would be done. He also explained it would be best for them to request them, for they would not be charged and I would be if I were to get them(I finally had asked if I just needed to do it myself) The day of appointment (which mind you I had just left my cardio appt prior) they had no records for him and went as far as to ask me if I was suppose to get them or if they were. Unbelievable!!!!!! Needless to say we left and so did our business. I had already referred one person to them who has only been once, but I will definitely let him know of my ordeal.

All the Doctors and PAs are amazing and very caring. I always feel listened to when it comes to any concern involving myself or my children and the right paths I feel have always been selected wisely. The front desk and nursing staff have also always been very pleasant and helpful. Being a flight attendant I have a hectic and unique schedule, but they have always made sure I get taken care of for every emergency. My youngest son also has had multiple issues since birth and an actual set diagnose on the cause currently is still yet to be determined, but for once I feel confident when I say that I feel like they are right there going along on the roller coaster with me until hopefully one day we can solve my little mans mystery. I see Courtney H. at both locations whenever my schedule allows, who is just simply delightful and has helped so many times over the last couple years. However, since I need a prescription filled every month or will have last minute emergencies I have seen almost every provider. Ive also seen Josh a few times now and he also has been awesome and today was my first time meeting PA Daryl but he really came through for my son today and I really appreciated his understanding and shared frustration with my sons situation. I would and already do highly recommend them all not just for someone who is looking, but for any of those truly fed up with the healthcare here in Nevada. They have given me some peace and mind back in my life and I thank them all :)

A little upsetting that I was written a prescription on one form with a few others and one was a controlled substance and I didnt know that the prescription was written a little different than I thought so when I went to Walmart to have it filled I was told to come back the next day as they were out of it, so I did and then I was told it was 96.00 when the Dr. looked it up the day before and said it was 8.00. I called the Dr. office to have it changed to another pharmacy and was put to a voicemail that said I would be called back within 24-48 hours and no phone call. The next day I went into the office to the front desk and explained that I needed the prescription and wanted to get it at Costco where it was only 10.00 and I was told they were messaging the Dr. but no phone call yet again, I left another voicemail the next day and no return call. Then after 5 days of this no return calls, apparently no one thought it was important to call me back, I called again on Saturday and spoke to a nurse, got her name and was told it would be ready for me on Monday. I went Monday and it wasnt there again. I waited and found out that the Dr. wrote me a prescription for a version that dissolved on your tongue, which is not what I expected, hence the larger price. Lucky the receptionist called Walmart and got it straightened out. It took a week. I am not happy.
