I havent picked up my glasses yet (7-9 days) but Im happy. It was my first time at Black Rock. Last glasses purchase was from Lenscrafters (less said about That experience the better). I wasnt referred; I work two blocks away, so this seemed convenient. I wasnt kept in the waiting room for eons (a sadl staple of most doctors offices). Sergio, who did intake and triage, was very professional yet charming and friendly. Dr. Moore was equally professional and reassuring. When it came to picking out frames, the professional (Im so sorry I never got her name) was lovely and helped me pick out frames that were just a skosh outside my insurance allowance. All in all, a wonderful experience. I would recommend Black Rock to everyone.

Amy and Dr. Southam were both amazing! When I got in there was a hiccup with my insurance on my end, but the staff was super helpful and called my insurance to get it sorted out in just a few minutes. Amy was super fun and we chatted about our favorite video games while we did the exams. Dr. Southam has amazing bedside manners and joked around with me, told me a hilarious story about his school days, and gave me his professional opinion that my eye color is beautiful. Lisa led me straight to my absolute favorite brand of glasses, LaFont, and helped me pick out the ones Id look best in with kindness and professionalism. All-in-all, Ill never go anywhere else! These guys are really the best.

My daughter and I visited Black Rock Vision Center for the first time on 1/2/17, my daughter being the patient. They were able to get us in as a last minute appointment due to cancellation. I was very impressed with the staff from the beginning on my phone call. The person who answered the phone was so polite and helpful. It just got better when we stepped foot in the office. Everyone greeted us with a smile. Every single person in this office was so helpful and so kind. Then we met Dr. Southam. He was just an all around nice man. I absolutely have nothing bad or negative to say. Black Rock Vision Center is amazing and I look forward to returning to their office.

I have always had a great experience at your office. Two years ago I was eligible for glasses and it was suggest to get sunglasses. At the time I thought I was nuts for spending that kinda of money for sunglasses. I fly a lot and some of it in the sunny Caribbean. Not only can I see the fish but at the end of the day my eyes have been so protected all day that they dont hurt or feel burnt. On my last visit there the check out lady at the desk (sorry, I forgot your name) recommended some drops that you have there. What an incredible difference they have made. I will recommend you to everyone.

Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Shawn has been there as long as we have been going to the office. She makes sure to come and great us when there, asks about family members. She s the first I ask for if I have a question or need, and has always come through with the information needed. Have been sorry to see so many other long time employees leave, but nice to see some of the newer employees there that were there the year before. Have had great help when picking out glasses or needing adjustments. The girls take the time to make sure everything is right.

This experience was the best visit I have ever had with any type of doctor, ever. It was honestly like having family help correct my vision. The staff was wonderful and went way above and beyond to help me correct my vision. Each individual at black rock vision center made my experience fun, warm, and exciting. I would recommend black rock to everyone I know! I would especially like to say thank you so much to Lisa and Shannon for helping me pick the perfect pair of glasses, and thank you to Mia for the exam-it was honestly so fun!

I saw Dr.Barron who was very pleasant and paid attention to details. She listened to by concerns and checked them all out. She will also be following up on some issues, which made me feel less ancious about the changes going on. The staff was friendly and helpful and explained what they were going to be doing. One of the most timely appointments I have had anywhere in a long time. In and out with out a long wait. I had an eye exam and was fitted for new glasses.

Dr. Southam is phenomenal! I feel he genuinely cares about my eye health and my overall health as well. He addresses the whole person not just the eyes. He is extremely patient and understanding and will take time to hear any concerns. In my situation he took time to do the detective work and found an issue no other doctor could find. He is very thorough and cares that every thing is right. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

Dr. Southam was very professional and I could tell he really enjoys his job. He was very personable and was easy to gain rapport with. My experience at this office was by far the best experience I have had at any optometrist office I have been to in the past. My appointment was on time and the process of check in was smooth. We took our two grand children to Dr. Southam and were very impressed with his patience giving our three year old his first eye exam that turned out normal. Dr. Southam quickly determined our eight year old granddaughter needed an adjustment in her prescription. When the new glasses arrived it made a great difference to her. Thank you Dr. Southam and your staff! Black Rock is a great place for kids and adults.

I strongly recommend Black Rock Vision if you’re looking for a great optometrist. After several years of ignoring my gradually fading ability to focus on reading materials, I made an appointment. Everyone in the office was very friendly and professional. They gave me the prescription I needed to read with ease. Whether you are young or old, I suggest you visit their office and make an appointment.

Ive been here to 2 hours. Its absurd. I nearly left but had already had my pre-exam and was waiting for the doctor. So I didnt want to leave and get billed. The doctor was really nice, but Im not complaining my back. Two hours at the eye dr. No thank you! Not only that, but there is little to know selection of frames for professional females. Ladies, go some place else. Trust me!

My experience with BlackRock was positive from the phone call to Jessica who scheduled my appointment until my visit ended with Dr. Moore. 1) Jessica was very welcoming and efficient while processing me; 2) Beverlys experience and professional manner was very thorough during the necessary testing; 3) excellence for Dr.Moores exam/consultation along with his bedside manner.

The Black Rock Vision Center is very efficient as well as being clean and friendly. I currently had trifocals that I could never get use to. Dr. Southam insured me that he could solve my blurry vision with glasses just a little larger. I did not have to get granny glasses. I am very pleased with not only the style of my glasses but no blurriness. Great Job!!

Dr. Southam gave a very thorough eye exam. He is knowledgeable and interested in giving excellent care. I love the optical staff. They were so helpful in choosing frames. (That is the most difficult part for me.) I love the Shamir lenses Lisa recommended. I have been wearing glasses for twenty-five years and these are the best I have ever had.
