I have been a patient of Dermoplastic Arts formerly owned by Dr. Richard Urbanek, currently owned now by Dr. Alex Doctoroff currently known as o Metropolitan Dermatology. I have been a patient, for almost 20 years and have had several medical procedures performed by both Dr. Urbanek and Matthew Rossano, P.A. at the Staten Island practice. Getting straight to the point, since Metropolitan has taken over the practice I have been treated so rudely and unprofessionally by the Staten Island Staff, refusing to give my message to my provider (Matt Rossano). Denying medical attention services when I have had in the past several serious medical procedures performed. Having Lois the office manager thinking she is the GATE KEEPER, making medical decisions on my behalf when she never read my medical records. The entire office is rude, nasty and unprofessional and all need to be retrained. As a medical provider myself and practicing for 15 years I have come to learn that CUSTOMER SERVICE is very important in any field. If I or my staff treated my patients the way I was treated I would be out of business . It is the suggestion of this provider that the entire staff in Staten Island either be retrained or FIRED. They give the Staten Island office, Metropolitan Dermatology and Dr. Alex Doctoroff a VERY bad name and reputation to entire Medical Community.

Extremely poor. I have never met Dr. Doctoroff nor used his services and am not likely to. I went a day early to register and take care of the paperwork as a new patient. The staff was indifferent to me and as they were nitpicking paperwork one said, you dont have an appointment for tomorrow, its a week from tomorrow. I said that two days prior I had spoken with someone here who told me that there was a cancellation tomorrow at 2:30 PM. Her reply was that the doctor was totally booked until a week from tomorrow. I told them to just cancel my appointment as I now had no confidence in the Doctor. In my personal opinion the staff is a fair representation of the Doctors competence. Use this one at your own risk.

Dr.Doctoroff is a great guy. In addition to being extremely competent and experienced, he has excellent bedside manner, always (I visited the office more than a dozen times) entering the room with a smile, a handshake and a very positive energy. Furthermore, he tells it exactly like it is, neither sugar-coating, nor exaggerating a problem or its solution. Very pragmatic. For me, he helped turn a very stressful situation into something manageable, eventually eradicating the trouble. In addition, his office staff is friendly and professional and the office itself is very nicely maintained and clean. I HIGHLY recommend Dr.Doctoroff.

I have been going to Dr. Doctoroff for a few years now. I am always delighted with the doctor and his staff. Dr. Doctoroff is a professional, he is good at what he does and has an excellent bedside manner. I have had numerous procedures in his office and have never had any problems. Invariably I have appointments every few months and I never wait an unreasonable time as I do in other doctor offices. His office is run like a well-oiled machine. I have no complaints with the doctor, his staff, or the website. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

The girl charged me a $50 co pay instead of $10. I left without being able to make my next appointment because while I was already at the desk and the girl was checking the computer for the next available appointment, a rude woman came in behind and announced that she was late, so could she just be checked in. So the girl at the desk actually told me to step aside while she checked her in since she was 17 mins late. I told her to forget it and walked out. Not the Drs fault however, he should know that this is the way the staff treats his patients.

If there was an option to give negative rating i would have..when i visited doc said she needs my old report and after getting it she will call me..i informed my earlier dermatologist to send it..now i m calling doctoroff office to know if they have received it but they are not picking my ph..i called 3 days sometime it went onto hold or sometime that automated call told to leave msg..in any case they are not calling back..

Terrible service. I had an appointment for my younger child but brought my older daughter instead because she developed a sty over an ingrown eyelid hair. They refused to see her. There was no reason the doctor couldnt at least take a quick look to see if my child required any urgent attention. Our pediatrician - an immigrant doctor - would see any child at any time. No wonder immigrants "are taking over". They WORK.

Dr. Doctoroff is one of the best doctors I have ever visited. Not only is he competent and extremely knowledgeable, he also has excellent bedside manners, he has a gift of putting a nervous patient at ease. Friendly and professional staff. Very clean office. Short wait time. Definitely would recommend Dr Doctoroff.

I USED HIM A FEW TIMES FOR SKIN TAGS, HIS STAFF WAS FINE FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK. AND I USED HIM FOR A SKIN INFECTION AND GOT TO SEE THE DR. HIMSELF, IN 4 MINUTES HE TOLD ME THAT I HAD NO INFECTION, COMPLETE COOKBOOK TYPE DR., WAS WRONG BECAUSE I BROKE OUT AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER, WILL NEVER USE AGAIN...
