This review really pertains to the pricing and business practices of the practice. I am new to New Jersey and I was shopping around for different eye doctors to see who was charging the least for a contact fitting fee. I really dont understand how/why those are necessary because Ive been wearing the same contact lenses for about 15 years. Hence, theres little to no additional work required. My local eye doctor said she would charge me $40 for the contact fitting. The exam was okay, definitely nothing worth paying an excessive amount for a contact lens fitting fee. When I went to pay, I was told the fitting fee was $60! She was insisting that certain processes of billing they have were "law" Example: its the law to charge for a contact fitting. I would love to see the administrative code that mandates doctors to charge their patients $60 for a contact fitting. Reluctantly, I paid them $75 (fitting fee + my deductible). A couple months later I received a (second) notice in the mail stating that I owed them an ADDITIONAL $20 because they made a mistake with my insurance (they provided NO proof of this). I called and asked why they didnt call me if there was an issue because I never received the alleged first notice. I was told that its their policy to only send notices AND to charge late fees. Its common courtesy to give a valued patient a quick telephone call. I would not recommend this doctor nor the staff she employees. Save your money and go else ware.

Went to Cranford eye care for the first time for both of my boys this past winter. Both of them have been wearing glasses since they were two years old. Never in my life have I experienced such nonsense when it came to getting their lenses exchanged under the warranty that is offered. I purchased their glasses last January and I recently noticed that both pair of lenses were scratched up. The lenses are polycarbonate and yet 6 months later they have scratches all over them- I dont know what vendor they used to save an extra buck but now when I called to use the one year warranty that came with the lenses, they are telling me that my 11 year old son that has astigmatism in both of his eyes and cannot see without his glasses has to be without them for a week. Knowing this, the doctor did not offer a reasonable solution but told me that thats the policy for this lens vendor they used. I find it ridiculous that in order for me to have my sons lenses fixed (which are still under warranty) he needs to be without them for one week! If you plan on going here, I would think twice!

I cannot attest to how they are with regards to claiming warranty. I was apprehensive towards going here because of all the reviews i was reading. After my experience here i felt obligated to review (i never actually review places).. NOW FOR THE ACTUAL REVIEW>> When we walked in the door we were pleasantly greeted by the front desk lady, Rose. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. As for Dr Hoang, she was very nice and respectful. Her instruments were clean and they didnt make us wait long. We went there on saturday and by wednesday we had our brand new 2 pairs of glasses. WHAT A FAST TURN AROUND!! I dont know if it was because they knew we were leaving for Australia on our honeymoon thursday that they put an expedite on it but whatever the case be. Me and my wife are extraordinarily happy with our visit to this facility. 5 stars guys. Thank you for everything.
