excellent experience. finally admitting i needed eye wear, i gave in and called around for pricing and turn around time. i had to have a pair of glasses asap for a road trip to help prevent fatigue. i finally called pearle in deptford knowing they have been there for decades. they must still be there for a reason... and i found out why. i walked in for my eye exam and was welcomed even though i was "that guy" who walked in just before everyone clocked out for the day. the staff in the exam were extremely friendly, and the exam was quick and simple. yes i needed glasses! so over next door to the vision center. warm welcomes and introductions from the entire staff there as well. it was like meeting uncles and aunts at a family reunion. they werent pushing for sales, and willing to help with the style and best fit that i desired. i was very impressed by that. after much personal deliberation, i finally picked a frame i wanted. after that came the lens and proper fitment of the set to my disfigured head.(we are all a little off on alignment lol) i was amazed at how much better i could see after trying them on and how straight they were across my face. the fit was perfect. they dont slide off of my face or anything. it takes some getting used to with the new vision for sure. i was instructed on proper care of the glasses, and sent upon my way with the word that i can come back anytime for an adjustment.being a person without benefits and caring for personal items i feel quite comfortable about my purchase and decision on getting glasses.

Arrived at 10am. Lady was helpful and Doctor was helpful in helping me pick my frames. I found my frames and sat down. Caucasian couple came in at 10:20 to pick out frames. I waited patiently with my selected frames. Saleslady sat down with Caucasian couple and put them before me even though her husband was still shopping around. White male customer walked in at 10:45 to pick up glasses and the doctor waited on him next. I decided to leave and the sales lady runs over and says , Is everything alright? I said , You know I was before these people. I left. There is no way I could patronize people like that. By the way, I am Black.

I take my son here for glasses and his eye exams. The Dr Hersh is nice, just a little quick with patients in my opinion . Now Jerry, the guy who does glasses on the other side from where the exams are done is WONDERFUL! I have never been somewhere and felt so welcomed! He is great with kids, and adults. He and his wife work along side each other, and they are the reason I continue to take my son here, they are a little pricy, but you cant get better customer service anywhere!!!

I used to go to this location faithfully. One day the doctor screamed at me during an exam because I told her the contacts she gave me were blurry.She said "oh come on!" and left the room. I was shocked. Way to help a customer see better. Needles to say I left and she will no longer get my business. Stick with lenscrafters across the street.

The staff is wonderful, getting you what you need at a fair price. If you have children or are active, they keep your glasses in top shape, adjusting at no charge.
