This past week, my "regular" vet was closed and one of my dogs had need of a vet, but not necessarily emergency care. Camp Bow Wow recommended Meisels Animal Hospital. I called and the very kind receptionist spent quite a bit of time talking to me about my dogs condition and managed to fit me in first thing the next morning. We saw Dr. Goldstein who was wonderful and kind. My dog is terrified of the vet, and Dr. Goldstein was very gentle and understanding. He was able to treat his injured left dew claw very quickly and was more than patient with all of my questions. On Saturday morning, the same dog injured his right dew claw. Again, they very kindly managed to squeeze me in right away, this time with Dr. Moldoff. A different "bedside manner" than Dr. Goldstein, but no less kind, efficient and sensitive. Again, he treated the right dew claw and spent a generous amount of time with me afterwards asking about my dog and answering all of my questions. I never felt rushed, despite being "squeezed" in without an appointment, and my dog was given fantastic care and attention. Both visits were truly outstanding experiences and I cannot recommend this facility highly enough! They will definitely now be my "regular" vet!!

in that place do not care about the welfare of the animal, take my Dog that had been diagnosed with cancer in the lungs with respiratory problems, and charged 607 and knowing never injected with steroids that was what my dog needed, I ended up in the emergency very badly, two days after leaving my dog from the hospital I was sent to the doctor to follow up. They never attended her as she had to be, the nurse assured me that as she continued with her respiratory problems, leave my dog with respiratory problems but walked and siting by herself, when I pick her up noting of this my dog could do it, I ask them what happen? I answered she must be drugged because we did not do anything. It took half an hour for my dog to die. Without telling her to take my dog with a problem in her eyes, she was diagnosed with conjunctivitis and medicated by conjunctivitis, and what she had was pressure on her eyes, she end blind.with my dying dog and the papers of the hospital without being able to open the door and the DR watching the work that was happening to open the door was not able to have any compensation for what I was going through.I HAVE 2 CATS AND THAT DR NO RETURN , ONLY INTERESTED IN MONEY NOT ANIMAL WELL-BEING

I highly recommend taking your pets to Meisels. Me and my roommate have been taking our pets here for some time now and the staff is always very kind and welcoming. Dr. Moldoff is extremely nice and seems like he genuinely cares about the animals. I cant say this for other vets in Bergen County who seem to only care about taking your money and making you feel like youre a horrible pet owner if you cannot afford services. I just had to take my cat in for a urinary blockage and he had to have an emergency procedure. Everyone at the office was extremely kind and understanding and made me feel very at ease even though this was a bad situation for my baby. I am very grateful for the hospitality we received at Meisels and although I moved out of Bergen County to Essex, I will always bring my babies here because I know they will be in good hands. Thank you to the Meisels staff and to Dr. Moldoff for being so wonderful.

Very disappointed. I brought my dog for vet check up after adopting dog from the shelter. Brought all medical papers I got from the shelter. The doctor who "examined" my dog did not find anything what is needed to be done. However when I was filing my dog papers at home I noticed that he was tested positive for lime disease and is due for the test. How it is possible for VMD to overlook such issue??? Because Im a hiker and my dog is hiking with me, he is spending lot of time in the wild woods. I explicitely ask for the heartworm prevention medicine. I got some generic brand recommended, but the person we had an appointment with "forgot" to mention that heartworm prevention medication does require a prescription. How on earth it is possible for "professional vet" not to know such things??? In addition to such unqualified service I was charged $68 for this useless

THIS VET IS AWESOME! If youre an animal lover and know the feeling of the pet being part of the family than you want nothing but the best. As a proud owner of a 10 year old dog I have been through many ups and downs through the first couple years trying to find someone to truly care for my little baby, until 3 years ago. My friend recommend me to go to Dr. Moldoff when my dog was feeling under the weather and of course I scared/hesitant going to a new place. This place was nothing but SO FRIENDLY, this experience was absolutely pleasant from the receptionists to the Doctor. Most importantly how much genuine attention and advice Dr. Moldoff gave, I have never met a Veterinarian so caring and persistent with his patients. I hands down recommend this Animal Hospital to everyone!

If you care about your pets you will avoid this place. The vets dont care about your animals only your money. The vet misdiagnosed by pet and suggested I treated her with a special food. After giving my pet the food she did not improve and sadly died shortly after. Vet insisted she did not need medicine only special food. Apparently the vet has a special deal with the makers of the expensive food product and they try to get the people that come to the office to buy the food. Disgraceful. I trusted the vet and the advice he gave about the food and I deeply regret it now.

I brought my 19 year old cat here for the first time when there was something wrong. They were very quick to suggest testing out their new digital xray machine on her the next day. She had to be given a sedative, which a cat at her age (bad kidneys) may not metabolize it well. She was not the same afterwards, disoriented and not herself. She never recovered and died 2 days later. I never received a follow-up call to check on my cat, nor did they call me back with outstanding test results. If I get another pet in the future I will not take it to this hospital.

Meisels Animal Hospital is the best veterinary facility in Northern New Jersey. Over the years they have consistently provided superb care for my pets. The facility located on Broadway has undergone renovations and looks like extremely clean. I recently signed up for the laser therapy program they recently made available to the public. My shepherd has seen momentous changes and overall I am ecstatic.

I have been bring my my babies to Meisels for over 20 years when Dr Meisels was still there they have always taken excellent care of my babies. years ago my crickett was diagnosed with diabetics and they were so supportive with us and took all the time we needed to learn how to give her injections. I would never take my babies any where else.
