If youre within driving distance of the SNCNJ, look no further for a highly experienced institution, quality services, an exceptional staff and a clean facility! This is the second time weve driven the 40-50 minutes to Holmdel from Jersey City. My sister and I had taken our familys two dogs to get spayed and neutered in January and we had such a great, supportive experience that I went back to get my cat spayed this week. Caroline, the receptionist, is a small wonder behind that desk of hers. She sees hundreds of animals a week yet still managed to remember our dogs names and me by my last name when I called to make an appointment for my cat. Shes going to book your appointment, give you an honest estimate (no surprise totals here!), answer all your questions and prepare you for the big day. Nicolette (our vet tech?) is a treasure. She didnt bat an eye when we handed over our energetic terriers. When I saw her again last week, I just felt good knowing that she was working that day. I knew my cat was in the right hands and with someone who cared. The value in this place is not only in quality services but the fact that they equip you to be prepared and successful in the post op of your fur babies! During our first visit, the medications, dosages and frequencies were carefully explained to us by Nicolette. They were placed in separate bags for both dogs, with sheets outlining all she explained (No mistakes!) and even an email that you can reach the doctors at when the facility is closed. She had even cut pills in half for the half pill dosages in advance for us so we wouldnt get confused. This time, Nicolette again reviewed all services with me (surgery, vaccines, microchip) and post op instructions. She had even found time to trim Banes nails for me. On day 4 of my post op for my cat, I noticed she had some swelling. I took pictures and emailed them around 8:49pm at the off hours email address and got a detailed reply at 9:21pm, WITHIN A HALF HOUR. I was reassured, given advice, invited back for a checkup and prescribed an antibiotic. The last time I took my other cat to get neutered at the local animal hospital, regrettably, he had a fever in the early hours of the next morning and all I could do was watch the poor guy shake with his fever until that sorry excuse of an "animal hospital" opened and I could speak to someone. I then had to wait till a doctor came in. Thats why I was willing to do the drive and pay more because the SNCNJ is truly with you every step of the way. A special thank you to Dr. Adrienne Hancock for immediately replying to my emails during off hours and giving me an avenue of communication. You and your fur babies are in great hands at this facility!!

I had very positive—albeit atypical—experience using the Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey. Though the Center primarily performs spay and neutering procedures, I took my 9 month year old Yorkshire terrier to the Center for the doctor to extract my dogs remaining baby teeth. My dog should have lost all of his baby teeth by 7 months, but several of his baby teeth remained, thus making it difficult for the dogs adult teeth to come in fully. On the day of surgery, I dropped my dog off at 8:30AM and picked him up by 1:00PM. The staff members at the Center were all very professional. I was attended in a welcoming and timely manner. The facility is very clean as well. The technician that took my dog to the back of the Center in order to prepare him for surgery was especially kind to my dog. Upon picking up my dog, the woman at the front desk informed me of the post-surgery procedures I would have to follow, which included giving my dog pain medican and antibiotics for seven days. I was given me my dogs medication in a cute little paper bag. All the medications had their respective serving directions printed on labels attached to the medication containers. All and all, the Center was above and beyond professional. Their fees were reasonable and affordable in my opinion—this coming from a full time student. Before leaving the staff members encouraged me to call the Center if I had any questions or concerns regarding my dog in the next few days. The Center offers other dog and car related services in addition to baby teeth extraction (full listing of services can be found on their website). In short, I highly recommend the Spay & Neuter Center of NJ to anyone and everyone looking to spay or neuter their dog (or cat)!

I absolutely LOVE this place!! Every single person there is just super nice and helpful! I took my 3 year old dog who I just adopted from my old neighbor and had him neutered and microchipped. Im a first time dog owner so I was EXTREMELY nervous! Especially because he has cryptorchidism (one of his testies didnt drop) so needless to say I was very scared and nervous. Weve only owned the dog for a month and a half but hes like my 4th child!! Everyone here at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey eased my nerves. They were so understanding and compassionate. I have never been so impressed with a service. I couldnt believe how quick I was able to get an appointment and they are extremely affordable. They explained everything to me to the T. I usually end up having to ask a hundred and one questions, but I did not have to ask one because they were just so specific. I could go on and on here lol...I recommend this place to anyone who loves their animal and wants them to be taken care of as if it were you doing the procedure. The stitches look great and the swelling has gone down an unbelievable amount today! Hes basically back to his sweet little self and it hasnt even been 24 hours yet! If you guys were a full vet Id switch today! Thank you everyone for taking such excellent care of Kobe. Im still in awe at how great you guys are!! Thank you all so VERY VERY MUCH!!

We are really thankful to the staff and doctors out here. After a lot of research and thought on where to get our puppy spayed (after receiving a ridiculously high fee estimate from other places), we found this place. Our puppy is really anxious and we were just not comfortable with the other alternatives available as they involved a drop off early morning and pick up late in the evening (no offence, Im sure they are great options but the logistics just didnt work for us with our puppys temperament). The whole experience at Spay and Neuter NJ was just wonderful and the staff and doctors made it just so easy for us - from scheduling the appointment to checking in to the centre and checking out post surgery. Being a paranoid pet mum, I called back the centre about an hour after we dropped off our puppy to check in on her and Caroline at the reception was really nice to provide an update and just comfort the paranoid pet mum that I am. NJ had heavy heavy rains that afternoon and we were delayed going back to pick up our puppy. The staff and doctors were super sweet to care for her until we got there; Dr Hancock carried our puppy to the car herself and helped her settle in while it was pouring like crazy outside. The fees are reasonable, the centre is super clean and the folks out here are very friendly and caring. We highly recommend this place.
