It was terrible experience in this lab for me and my 7 year old daughter.. After reaching the lab, i figured i had to pick up the number from desk. The lady at front desk appeared unhappy and was not even looking at me . It wasnt crowded there , just 1 person before me. Front desk lady was showing as if she had to deal with dozens standing there. I had to wait and when asked the front desk lady about next step. I was asked to wait, needless to say - rudely. Finally when our number came, I took my daughter in the office they asked us to be . my daughters blood work started. The lab person checked my daughters arms and could not locate the vein. She called front desk lady and asked her to do the blood work. This facility claims, they are pediatric blood collection center. Thats lie, they do not know how to handle child. The front desk lady put in the needle in my daughters hand and kept on moving it for a while to puncture the vein for blood collection. She could not find it and while she was trying, my daughter was screaming. She then asked my daughter to come back after some time and drink lot of water. Second attempt was successful . This lab never sent reports to our pediatrician and were just seating on it till doctors office actually started following up on it. I would neither go there nor recommend any kids to be take to this place.

I went to my physician and drew my blood and took my insurance as usual. 3 months later, I get a letter from a collection agency on behalf of Bioreference labs for that day when my physician sent my blood work to Bioreference labs. 1) Why wasnt I notified if my insurance was not working 2) Why did they send the bill to a collection agency, without even attempting to get it from me a single time? I am not liable to pay a cent, since I did not authorize the charge. If my insurance was not working, nobody asked you to do the blood work. I called Bioreference labs toll free and they were extremely rude. Not only will they not get a penny from me, I will not use them anymore and have started a case with NYC dept. of Consumer affair. Billing nightmare. In my opinion, I am not sure I am convinced their tests are 100% accurate either.
