I have been waiting for my biopsy results for 10 days. I finally get a call from the DOCTOR at 5:30 pm on my house phone, which I missed and had no choice but to call back the next day. So I have talked to two rude nurses today and they both knew about as much as I know.....NOTHING!!!!!!! So why are they calling me? to make me feel worse? The one I just talked to said the DOCTOR has tried to call you three times???????? Really? This morning I left my cell phone number on his machine and I get a call from him at 3:00 p.m. asking for my cell phone number. I just think these people have no compassion for people. Oh and the DOCTOR hasnt even bothered to call me once since I initially went to him. I learned more from the Sonogram Tech. and the Dr. who took my biopsy than from my own "so-called" Doctor.

i went to this doctor for 5 years...and lets just say i am lucky to be alive... I was for the better word forced to go on an insulin pump...it did wonders for me for the first year and half andthen things took a turn for the worst. He would never tell me what he was doing when i went to see him...just told me i was getting fat and that i needed to get lap band surgery. Over a year ago my pump malfunctioned on me putting my life in danger. My husband aske me if i had a back up plan incase this happened and we never got one from this doctor...needless to say my blood sugar went over 1400 and i was rushed to the hospital If you value yuor life you will not see this doctor for type 1 diabetes!

Dr. Stas has warmed up to Diabetic me, modifying my base rates and looking over my records. Hes open to my suggestions and so far, Im finding his pump therapy to be pretty darn good. They have no CDE on premises, which sucks. Another issue is being placed on hold without the receptionist asking if its okay. Two times, I held for 20 minutes. Lastly, if your check has not arrived (I mailed mine a week ago today), you cant make an appointment there. They are clearly in business, not out to help others.

I thought Dr. Stas was fine. I expect my doctors to be experts, efficient and not waste my time or others with trying to be my best friend. He didnt call for a bunch of unnecessary tests until we both agreed it was time. The surgeon he recommended was great and I am now healed. I do recommend him.

I dont know why he has low ratings. He was very knowledgeable. I waited less than 5 mins to be seen. He spent time with me in the room, answered all my questions, was personable and friendly.
