I was pretty overwhelmed with my first visit. I was greeted by a super friendly staff and put at ease by Miranda who introduced herself as my dental best friend. She took care of any questions I had and made herself available for future questions. The x-rays were extremely thorough and took about an hour. Jackie came in to do my cleaning, but was interrupted by the dentist, Dr. Akopian. I was overwhelmed to hear that I needed a lot of unexpected work done. I had been seeing another dentist diligently for years and he never recommended any of this. Dr. Akopian spent a lot of time explaining the procedures and showing me the problem areas on the digital x-rays. It was overwhelming to have three people in the "room" with me a times, to have so much going on at once, and to hear about all these frightening dental procedures I had not anticipated needing. Miranda came through as my dental best friend again and explained my financial responsibility and the time frame for the needed work. It would have been nice, however, if she had mentioned that their oral surgeon was out of network and would cost me hundreds of dollars more than I needed to pay. I decided to get a second opinion considering the drastic differences between my former dental care and my experience with Dental Care Somerset. Dental Care Somerset was extremely helpful in forwarding my x-rays to the other dentist. My second opinion dentist agreed with this office so I am going to follow through with the original plan but with my new dentist because his rates are better. There was, however, one other thing that prevented me from giving the office a five star rating. The ads I had seen and the website indicate that root canals are performed in the Somerset office and Jackie explained to me that is not the case.

An outstanding experience! I was in the market for a new dentist and learned about Dental Care Somerset from the mailer they sent me. They accepted my insurance, along with many other brands, and had an appointment available for me less than 3 hours after I called. Ashley was excellent with scheduling my appointment. This was the most thorough exam I have ever received. Jackie, the hygienist, performed an x-ray, a microscopic view, a gum check, a jaw check, and an oral cancer screening. She explained to me the background, purpose, and results of each test. She also gave me the name of an electric toothbrush and explained to me how to brush effectively. Dr. Akopian, the dentist, also was friendly, helpful, and explained to me the teeth bonding procedure I required and quickly set up an appointment for later in the week. Also, he explained to me the background behind my status. Since it is important to visit the dentist at least every 6 months, Jackie held schedule me an appointment in November. Next, Maura, came to the room and introduced herself. She clearly explained to me the procedures performed, what amounts my insurance would cover, and all the payment methods Dental Care Somerset accepted. From beginning to end, my experience at Dental Care Somerset was excellent. Each employee there was caring, respectful, understanding, and non-judgmental. All had a helpful and positive energy showing that they genuinely care about their patients. Their hours are accommodating, they offer a variety of fairly-priced services, and they are respectful of your time and needs. I could not be happier!

Ive won a zoom whitening procedure and Ive had my teeth whitened at Dental Care Somerset on Wednesday last week. I cant express in words how happy I am about this! If you look at my before and after pictures of my smile you can totally tell why. I have them posted on my Google+ page, I wish I couldve post them here too. I would like to thank Joy for being the best at what she does, and Taesha for helping with the teeth moldings, to Jodi for being there next to me during the Zoom just in case I needed something(mind you I couldnt talk at all so hand gestures was the only way to communicate). Thank you Dr. Adriana Caragea for you guidance in the entire process of fixing everything that was wrong in my mouth and I totally appreciate all of your amazing care and expertise. I always enjoyed going to the dentist but now I love it! I know Im in the best hands and Im more than confident that no matter what the issue is, they can handle it. Thank you Cathy for being always there with a follow up call and just a pleasant presence when I walk in. And thank you everyone else in that office for all that you do. You all touch so many people in so many ways every day and you make a difference! I not only recommend this place to anyone I know but Im asking you to just give them a chance to show you what a dentist should be like. You will never want to go back to your current one, just saying. Thank you guys! My teeth are glowing like a Jacko lantern on Halloween ;)

My first visit with Somerset Dental Care was nothing short of spectacular! I was first greeted by Maura, who took me into her office and we spoke for about 10 minutes. She got to know me and made me feel very comfortable as I had not been to a dentist in several years. Then it was time for the cleaning! Katja, my dental hygienist was very welcoming and made me feel calm and in control while guiding me step by step through the process pointing out trouble spots and giving me tips as we went along. Then i was introduced to Dr. Ali whom i must say was very professional and gave me several options for treatment as well as asking me what my overall goals were regarding my dental work. He was very thorough and took the time to explain to me what my exact options were. I did not feel rushed at all! After Dr. Ali was finished i then finished my cleaning with Katja and then had a follow up with Maura. She laid out a plan in front of me with the treatment options as well as the pricing and insurance information as well. There were no surprises and everything was straight forward. As i finished up my first appointment, Ashley the receptionist asked me how everything went and how i was feeling! Everyone at Dental Care Somerset was very welcoming and it has a family like atmosphere which in my opinion is great! I am looking forward to continue a relationship with Dental Care Somerset and cant wait for my next appointment to get my teeth back on track!

So, I had a really bad experience about a week ago at another dentist I was with, I was unsatisfied and was looking for someone who could make my smile what I wanted in time for my wedding, I came across Dental Care Somerset from a flyer that was sent to my home, I picked up the phone and called, I explained to Laura what was going on and she scheduled me immediately for the same day, when I arrived at the office I was glad to see, it was modern and VERY clean and quiet. I was pleased so far, but then I was greeted by a very nice receptionist and followed by a very informative Laura, who gave me gifts and the rundown of who things will work, she was honest and left nothing out (No hidden costs) I was also greeted by Christina, who was FABULOUS! pleasant and explained what she was going to do every step of the way, THEN I met my wonderful dentist DR. DESAI!! who took the time to look at my exrays with me, showed me what was going on and his approach he will take to correct my teeth (Music to my ears) I could go on and on about my experience that I had with Dental Care Somerset, the staff was friendly warm and most of all HONEST! I recommend if youre looking for a new dentist, please go check out Dr. Desai and the entire staff. YOU WONT REGRET ONE MINUTE!!
