I am a 68 yr. old man residing at River Valley Care Center for over 7 years. Dr. is one of the " house doctors ." He agreed 4 weeks ago to be my doctor, wrote prescriptions, and ordered a blood test. I am wheelchair bound due to a serious, very painful back condition. I am a diabetic taking insulin 3 time a day. My legs are numb from circulatoy problems that are consequences of diabetes. I badly need a good reliable doctor. Today, its exactly 4 weeks since he came to my room and agreed to be my doctor. I have not seen him since. Today, I complained to my counselor. She reached the " doctor ." who told her he changed his mind and " has nothing to offer me." Yet he holds himself out to be a Pain Management doctor which I need. He did not even have the courtesy to face me and tell me himself. He is a disgrace to his profession and Im filing a complaint with N.Y.S. Health Dept. Sigmund V. Mazur

He is quick to prescribe medication and his office staff is incompetent. They have failed to submit referrals for my HMO properly and have caused me to have to pay in full for the specialist. The paper they gave me that was supposed to be the referral was only the "request" and I didnt know that at the time. It has been 1-1/2 years and still no response. I will be filing a claim against his office. Dont let them fool you. They were soooo nice at first but the end result is still the same, incompetance.

My first visit was my last. Dr Patel and his staff were rude from the onset. He dismissed the paperwork I spent the day collecting for him and seemed angry with me before I even walked through the door. I have never met a doctor so ready to treat a patient poorly. Not befitting a scientific profession at all.

Who is this moron Sam Jones....^^ "she has an STD and touches patients with her bare hands" what is that!? NP M.P is fantastic at what she does and Dr. Patel is an excellent doctor. I would recommend this office...unless youre afraid of hand STDs then I guess I would avoid...
