Ive been coming to see Dr. Matteace since I moved to Toms River when I was 12. He is a wonderful, compassionate, thorough, brilliant man with a heart of gold and sense of humor to match. He puts patients at ease. He listens to everything you say. He takes the time to review various treatment options with you and is constantly continuing to educate himself on advancements in medicine and new technology/treatments. He has some background in Psychology as well and is especially empathetic and attentive in times of great stress. His office is always impeccably neat/organized. Wait time is the shortest Ive seen anywhere, AND THEY ACCEPT WALK-INS. The office staff is professional, helpful, and a pleasure to speak to, both in person and on the phone. This is a doctors office where you can actually call and speak to your doctor. Its right on Fischer Boulevard, easily accessible, decent parking, lots of diners, gas stations, convenience stores, pharmacies, etc nearby. Theyre also very good at working with your pharmacy to ensure swift receipt of prescriptions, and theyve battle with insurance companies on my behalf on many occasions. It feels like a hometown family doctors office & thats how they treat you there. None of this would be possible without the leadership, integrity, brilliance, & open door policies of Dr. Matteace. I wish there were more stars to give.

This office is extremely incompetant when it comes to keeping files. I understand when they mixed my paperwork up with my fathers since I am a Junior but to have someone elses pages filed in my chart is unacceptable. I requested a copy of my records so I could switch doctors and I received copies for a patient that does not have any relation to me. They do not take patient privacy seriously. They even asked my sister-in-law why I was leaving. She had no idea that I was looking for another doctor. It took them 3 weeks to inform me that I need to pay for a copy of my records. During these 3 weeks, I had contacted them repeatedly and was told that the request is on the doctors desk and waiting for him to fill it out, not once was I told to make a payment before they could process the request.

Iwouldnt recommend this office If I were dying and had nowhere else to go! Most disrespectful ignorant people that have no idea what they are doing! Especially Franks wife I think shes the one with the dick.! Worst place will never go here wouldnt recommend to anyone for care cause there all about putting money in there pockets an dont care about there patients or there workers at least ican feel good about myself:) at the end of the day I know there very UN happy people !
