Can I Select ZERO stars????? Do yourself a favor (and possibly save yourself from a major migraine) - avoid this place like the PLAGUE - they dont seem to understand they are in the SERVICE industry, they are a SERVICE provider, their service SUCKS, and they are definantly NOT the only PROVIDERS in TOWN! why do i make such a vehement statement? read below... This visit is the final straw for our household - staff has no consideration for patients time, and only respond with kindness when they see dollar signs flash by for charges - I went in to get a tint waiver signed for my photosensitivity... to which the doctor wouldnt take time to speak to me, I was only proffered the receptionist who would leisurely go back and talk to the doctor... finally, I booked an appt for the following day, because I could already see I wasnt speaking to the doctor any other way... next day, showed up early, made to wait past my appt time before even going to the pre-screen workup area, and then waited some more before speaking to the doctor... still ended up having another eye exam done, but the doctor promised me that if I tried the prescription sunglasses from their store, and wasnt satisfied, he would sign the slip - he promised these fancy new sunglasses would make a world of difference - with the maximum amount of tint possible, wrap around frames that would zero out all light, anti-glare, the whole nine, right? Well, after over $400 out of my bank account and a week later, I get the call that the glasses are ready for pickup, while Im driving home from work no less. rly rly? I kindly inform the receptionist I will have to pick them up the next day during lunch - no biggie. Being told that the glasses are ready for pickup and would only take a couple of minutes to assure fit, that translates to no more than 5min to me. I walk in @12:10, and they dont bring out my glasses for over 30min! After 15min, and only one person in the eye glasses area, I ask if ANYONE else can get my glasses, because I need to head back to work. One person is on break, manager is doing some adjustment, blah blah blah, meanwhile 3 people at the desk are sitting there chatting and I can clearly see 2 people in the glasses office chatting away while fiddling around with nose pieces - wtf! Then, after all that, the sunglasses were an EPIC FAIL - wrong script, not even half as dark as my current sunglasses, instant migraine just trying them on - FAIL FAIL FAIL! Words out of my mouth? OW! and NO! -Confused, the glasses handler asked if they didnt fit... rly? I was so furious all I could say was that they gave me instant tunnel wall-eyed vision, a migraine, and werent even the right tint - followed by, I dont have time for this, I will have to come back to get the paper signed, but I am definantly not paying for that! As of yet, I am still waiting to get my money back, and for the doctor to sign the tint waiver he agreed he would sign if the sunglasses didnt work... UPDATE 05212012: Picked up the signed waiver today, and they also handed me a copy of my medical records (that i didnt request) - money still not posted to bank - however, I now have an additional charge of $282 waiting to be credited back as well (so im waiting for @$600 to get credited back to my acct now)

They are trying to serve a large amount of patients and they do not provide good customer service or lower prices to make up for that. I only tried going here because I bought the Groupon coupon for eyeglasses. I was quoted a price for glasses but when I ordered them I was told by another person the price was actually $80 more, the Groupon is definitely not worth any savings. I called for contact lens prices and was quoted $135 but when I called to order at another time I was told by another person that the price was almost $300. I had to go back twice for a contact lens check to get the right fit. Each time the Dr would give me a pair to try and then leave the room to meet with another patient. He said I had to let them settle, which only takes a few minutes but he would be gone for 10-15 minutes each time. Each contact lens check appt took over an hour! Then I ordered a yearly supply of contacts and was told they would be delivered to my house in 3-5 business days. After 6 business days I called and they told me they were on backorder. They refused to give me a trial pair in the meantime, even though I had been wearing my current pair for over two weeks and the contacts I ordered were late being delivered. I used to work at an eye Drs office so I know the trial pairs are given to them for free and I have never had an eye Dr refuse to give me a trial pair. I have expressed all of these concerns to their employees and they did not care. I will never go here again.

I have been a patient here for three years but this last visit has me looking at other eye care choices. I loved my eye doctor, she was very straight forward and easy to get along with. The customer service here is awful now. They had me fill out a ton of paperwork since they switched their systems. A bit annoying but no problem... Then I ordered contacts and didnt receive them or get any phone calls from them for a month. So I called them and found out they sent it to my old address. I asked them why did I spend the time filling out all that paperwork with my correct address then? They said they must have forgot to put it in the system... Im a pretty forgiving person so I let it slide and was told they would arrive at my house by the end of the week. They did not. I got them the following week addressed to "Laura Scaggs" My first name is Renee so not sure how that happened. I called them just now to explain all of this to their office manager and was put on hold. After waiting for 5 minutes the line went dead. I called again and was sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail saying Im done and will be finding another place to go to.

I scheduled an appointment at this location but the staff did not know the Doctors availability. I was calling two months from when I needed the appointment, I believe it is important to know when the eye doctor is available, especially only two months out! They scheduled me an appointment and I was told I would be called with a confirmation by the end of the week. That never happened. Flash forward, I call to confirm two days from when I believe this appointment is and, surprise, the appointment is not there!! I ask if there are any way available appointments and of course there are not. I have been going to this location for over ten years and always leave frustrated or extremely disappointed in the service I have received. These issues are nothing new for this location and even though it is located in a close proximity to my residence, this last issue has been the final straw for my experience with Eye Care Associates. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.
