Amanda C.(Asst. Optamoligist) disrespected me in front of my children. I returned to the office 2 days after having bloody eye lids and headaches to let them physically see what happened to my eyes as a result of my visit there. I couldve called but the usual procedure if your experiencing problems after a healthcare visit is to return. The checkin/out personnel seemed to care about my symptoms So she called Amanda to assist my concerns (who wasnt the one who put any drops in my eyes nor was she present during the administration of the eye solution). She was calm initially but inclined her voice while explaining my health in the lobby area and front desk of the establishment where customers and the checkin/out personnel were. She spoke to me as if I did not know my body even after I showed her my bloody eyelids. We exchanged words about my concerns and she denied all evidence of my issues. She said the drops was not the reason but my previous diagnosis of dry eye was the reason after I told her I do not have any vision problems. I did not come in expecting an argument or excuse all I wanted was for the problem to be recorded in my records (as I explained several times) so that I could receive a different eye solution on my next visit. Instead I received poor customer service and a disrepectful hand and smile pointing to the door exit without a question of further assistance or solution. My children (ages 5&10) asked me why did she smile and point to the door (while the concern was never concluded). I explained she asked us to leave because she didnt care to acknowledge my eye problems the solution caused.

You have been forwarned!! Unless you want to be upset all day, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I was told to show up 10 mins before appointment. So I showed up at 9:40am for a 9:50. AT 10:41am they called me up to check my insurance. Then at 11:00AM THEY SENT ME TO A DIFFERENT WAITING ROOM. Then at 11:20 they put me in an exam chair. Then at 11:40AM 2 HOURS LATER, the doctor saw me. He looked at my blood shot, PAINFUL eye for 15 seconds and wrote me a prescription for a steroid drop. I asked him to look inside the eye, as I have a history of interior eye lesions. Oh, Im backed up and I havent taken lunch yet. I SAT FOR 2 HOURS for 15 seconds of #*&$($. They told me I had to come back for that and pay another $80 co-pay. And if I wanted a eyeglass perscription update, I needed to make a SEPARATE appointment for that too! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! IF YOU GO, DONT SAY YOU WERENT WARNED. Horrible experience. HORRIBLE. I would like to have all the Doctors that work there sit in a room for two hours without pay, and be forced to pay me $200 each to have me look at them for 15 seconds. What a colossal waste of my TIME!!

Awesome service and good medical care. Bottom line is that this is a not a quickie optometrist shop like you would get in the mall. They do use staff to do screening tests and the doctors evaluate that information to ensure that they have full results to give you a good medical exam. This takes time. They also do surgery and sometimes the schedule may require a little more time than planned. Is this not understandable?. As a patient there for almost 20 years, I understand that. Some of the people posting here do not. Dr. Kiley is the BEST eye surgeon in Raleigh and has experience that no one else does. He takes his time with patients and does get A LITTLE behind sometimes. I have probably caused a delay for the patients after me because he is willing to answer my questions and take extra time with me. People be real. They must see thousands of people a month and they have a few complaints...so what. This is a great practice with sound medical professionals and they have given me great service for many years. Go there. You will be happy that you did.

Ive been seeing Dr. Bryan for a few years now (4 I think) and here are my issues: 1. The Rx is for only one year for glasses or contacts. Ive asked around and 2 years seems completely reasonable for most folks with no complications. 2. I do have some complications so I am willing to come in once a year. However. I called and asked for a box of contacts before the end of the year and I was harrassed at length about how I had to come in, my prescription was ALMOST expired. I pointed out that it was not YET expired and I needed contacts now. I was promised a call back and never got one. 3. The wait time is almost always ridiculous unless you are the first appointment. 4. Twice now I made an appointment a week in advance and was called within days to be told that the Dr had to be in a meeting and they had to reschedule me. Then they just PUT me on the schedule somewhere without consulting me and I got a robo call about the appointment. The service is just not great enough for me to care to keep going. I am looking for someone new now.

This is the doctors visit you DONT want. If there is any question about whether you matter .... forget it. Every time (6 times) Ive been there, Ive never had to waitLESS than an hour past my appointment time in the FIRST waiting room. Then they move you to another waiting room after the nurse asks you a few questions, and you end up there for usually another 45 minutes to an hour, before you ever see the doctor. Then, if you have to schedule surgery...well, Ive been calling for 11 days, and I still havent gotten to speak to the person that makes those appointments. If you ask for the office manager to complain about it, that is another "please leave a message at the tone" recordings, and you might get a call back in a week or so. This office is a nightmare. Every time Ive gone there, the people in the waiting rooms are really angry before they ever leave. Im not going to put myself through it anymore. You have been warned.

I had LASIK done three months ago. This was the first time Id ever had anything done, elective or otherwise. I had been wearing glasses and contacts for 20 years. LASIK was always something Id thought about, and finally took the plunge. After speaking via e-mail to Kelley, I weighed the positives and the negatives and decided to do it. Almost immediately I could see (a little painful) and after having my 3 month check-up, my vision is 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other. I sometimes think I have to take my contacts out before going to bed because it is THAT clear. I would highly recommend LASIK to anyone, and I have been doing so since I got it done!

What a great experience at Raleigh Eye Center! Kelly, staff and Dr. Kiley are wonderful! They made me feel comfortable in every aspect of my Lasik procedure to include the consultation and surgery. I have worn glasses since I was 12 years old and in my 40s was wearing bi-focals. I opted to have mono vision to correct one eye for distance and one eye for reading. Its been almost 2 months since my surgery and I am adjusting well to the change. Its amazing to be free of glasses after 31 years! Thank you Raleigh Eye Center for everything!
