TERRIBLE....About a year ago i came to CMC Pineville for a simple removal of an ingrown toe nail. The staff was great, the procedure went well, it only took 3 hours, and i was pain free the next day. However I feel that since then the ER has gone way down hill. A few days ago i had the same injury so i figured that CMC Pineville did such a grea job last time so why not go there again. WORST DECISION EVER. Apporximatley 10:00 pm i called the ER and was promised a 30 min wait for triage. i arrived promptly at 10:20 pm and proceded to sit there for 2 1/2 hours before i was called in to triage. Once in triage the Dr looked at my toe and asked me a few questions such as when did it happen and how much pain i was in.I explained to her that i was in alot of pain and asked if there was anything she could do until I they were able to remove the ingrown part of my nail. She then told me that they would give me something when i was seen by the Dr. So after another 3 hours of being in pain and sitting in the waiting room my name was finally called. To make a long story short I never saw the Dr again, just the PA. They had to numb my toe twice which is very painfull because the lidocane didnt work the first time or was administered incorrectly whichever the case may be. Only a very small part of my nail was removed which believe was not enough, and when all was said and done it was 5:45 and i was in as much pain as i was when i got there. So here i am 2 days later still in pain , so i call the ER (rude by the way) and see if there is anything they could do for me because i cant see my primary care physician till monday or tuesday. I explained that i was extremely unhappy with the work that was done and that i was still in pain and asked if i could come back so they could correct their mistake or at lest take a look at it. They then told me that i would have to wait and will be charged again for the visit. If you ask me they should correct there mistakes or do it right the first time... Either way i will never step foot in CMC PIneville again. I do undestand that they see alot of people and sometimes things do not go right, but they can at least try to work on their customer satisfaction and try to fix their mistakes for free instead of trying to charge someone twice for something that should have been done right the first time....Yes, This could have been an isolated incident, but why take the chance...

Ive been to this hospital before, and have never had a complaint. I went last night because I recently had my wisdom teeth removed, and I am in a great deal of pain. I fear I may have dry sockets, and I the earliest I can be seen by my dentist is Monday. I went to the ER in hopes that they could at least help me, and give me some tips to deal with the pain, and to see if I actually have dry sockets. The staff and Nurses were all very kind, and caring, they were not a problem whatsoever. My complaint is about the HORRIBLE ER "doctor" that "cared" for me. After waiting roughly an hour (which was fine, it IS an emergency room, it is to be expected) they called my name and took me back to be seen. This so called "doctor" would not answer my questions and she was VERY rude. She ignored me. She looked in my mouth, and when I specifically asked her if I had dry sockets, and what I need to do to help ease my pain, SHE IGNORED my questions and told me I was being discharged. I know she heard me, my friend who was accompanying me, heard me and understood me just fine! She said there was nothing she could do for me, and sent me home. I dont know if maybe she was someone who was impersonating a doctor, or if she is just a really REALLY bad doctor. She was extremely rude. I had a serious concern, and am in serious pain, and this sorry excuse for a doctor didnt seem to care at ALL. She shouldnt be doctor. She should be fire if she is like THAT with all of her patients. The Nurses and other staff were kind though. But I wouldnt go there again if I had a choice, in fear that I would be seen by that sorry excuse for a "doctor" again. To make it worse, they expect me to actually pay this! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I REFUSE to pay for such a horrible experience! What should I pay for? The "doctor" did nothing! Literally! She did N.O.T.H.I.N.G. I will NOT pay for that. *update* Just made it in to my dentist today, and I have dry sockets. So thanks for nothing to the AWFUL ER "doctor" that did nothing to help me. And yes, Dry sockets are extremely painful. Dont go here if you have an option to go somewhere else.

went in with chest pains, tingling down arm. Was seen right away by the triage nurse, EKG, BP taken. then I was told to sit in a chair in the hallway for 3 hours. Not one person came to see me. At the 3 hour mark, I decided to go home b/c it was late and I wasnt dead. The triage nurse said it was ok for me to go and removed my IV. Today I am still experiencing chest pains, so I called the ER to see if I could hear the results of my EKG, and they told me that I could not have it b/c I walked out without seeing the doctor. I stated to her that since I would be billed for this EKG, they should get the results for me. She stated that if you walk out, they cant charge you and the hospital EATS it. SINCE WHEN? I always get a bill from them! ) Anyway, I digress... She spoke with her manager and came back and told me to call Medical records - so I did you have to fill out forms, mail it in and wait THREE WEEKS! 3 weeks for an EKG that may or may not tell me if I am inclined to having a heart attack. I am so upset by this. this is MY hospital. I live right next to it. I have had surgeries there and have been in the ER before and everyone was pleasant. From the get go last night, everyone was rude and slow and like, nothing or no one mattered. One orderly even told an older woman sitting in a wheelchair, that she could just leave the IV in her arm or keep bitching about it (VERBATIM). I almost went off right there and then, but I remained calm. I sat there for 3 hours, while everyone that was in the waiting room came in and went into their specific rooms to see the doctor. I couldnt believe someone was left there with chest pains. Now, since I cannot get my results and NO ONE wants to help me, I am forced to either go back there and made to wait again, because you KNOW they will see my name and intentionally make me wait hours and hours... or go to another hospital. out of my way. Ill probably die before I can make it there. Thanks CMC. Ill make sure my Will has you listed for a thank you bouquet for killing me.
