Had a very bad experience at this hospital. There was much more left to be desired when it comes to communication and high quality care. The care we received was not the feel good rosey picture painted on the website...not even a fraction of that. We were told a "care team" meeting would be Monday, then a nurse informed us they always have the "care team" meetings on Thursdays. We were then told it would be Thursday at 1 and marked it on the calendar. It was Thursday at 11, so we missed it. One nurse emptied out a colostomy bag and then removed it only to place it in the trash can versus the biohazard container. That same nurse asked the patient why a certain medication couldnt be administered via port-a-cath. That is an answer she is supposed to know, not the patient who has no medical training and is drugged up. Again, that nurse asked the patient what pain medication she was on when she asked for some. The patient could have said anything. It takes only a second to look at the patient chart to tell the patient what medicine is being administered. We asked for copies of a CT scan to be sent to a dr in another town. It was never sent. Ultimately, we asked for a hard copy and took that to the dr ourselves. The patients weight was charted 30lbs less than the weight upon arrival. If this were, in fact, the correct weight (which they thought was since they charted it), I would expect a phone call or some sort of concern when a patient drops that much weight in 9 days. We found out it was the wrong weight, so then THEY CHARTED THE WRONG WEIGHT! Completely unacceptable. I spoke to a social worker in the next town over and when she found out the patient was at this hospital she stated "We hate when we get patients from that hospital". She recommended to get the patient home asap. This is horrible and I am not sure how they are still accredited. Please, if you care about your loved one, dont send them here.

I was given meds that I am allergic and was transfered to select specialty hospital. The staff are exceptional, loving, caring and helpful in all aspects. Never had to ask for anything twice. When u call they come quickly. No complaints. Very satisfied with my treatments and therapy. Rooms were clean and all needs well met. If you have to go to a rehab hospital, I would recommend Select Specialty.

Mr. Williams, my husband came to Select Care as a patient nearly dead. If we did not have this facility my husband probably would have died. The services they render here is great and full of Care, Compassionately and Love.
