I do not recommend this Hospital and DR. HODGKINS to my worst enemy On 7/24/2015 I was an accident with a broken left foot, Dr Hodgkins perfort a surgery on 08/04/2015 at Doctor Hospital, two week after the surgery complicated with a infection. I been visit Dr. Hodgkins #s of time in his office for treatment, on 01/29/2016 he send me for MRI. Dr. Hodgkins discovered that the software the he install in my left foot difected, he told me that he need to removed the software. We scheduled another surgery for 04/07/2016 at Doctor Hospital in coral gable fl. 04/07/2016 went I got to the Hospital (ADMITTING) the clerk asked me that I need to pay $590.00 deductible from my ins. (UNITHY HEALTH CARE)I told the clerk that my insurance told me that I already made my deductible for the year, I also told the clerk that I do not have any money or credit card on me, I told her that if she could mail the bill to pay it another day, She told me that she spoke to Dr. Hodgkins and he related to her that this surgery was not important, I call my insurance (spoke to Nicola) she call the Hospital to found out what going on onone pk up the phone from the Hospital, The clerk send me home without surgery. Went I got home, I call #s of person to set up a complaint no one want to help I set up a former complaint with the state of florida (AHCA>gov and Florida Health Medical.Went this complaint hit state of florida everybody from the Hospital was calling me to apologize for what happened, My question is do I have to live with my damage software in my left foot with Pain every day yes because I dit not have $590.00 at time of surgery.

I ate some bad food and couldnt stop throwing up., nothing stayed down not even water but otherwise I was totally fine. I went here because I needed an IV to stay hydrated. In the end I got that .... and 20 pointless tests so I wouldnt sue them. I am not exaggerating when I say I received about $15,000 in bills after my visit lasting no more than 4 hours. I got tired of all the pointless tests they wanted to do to me and left (here I am a year later totally alive and well). I was halfway walking home when I realized I had left my jacket. When I went back to get my jacket they held me hostage until I signed a form releasing them from all liability. They thankfully didnt do anything wrong to me, but if they did they didnt want to be responsible for it. Like I said I was here due to some bad food I ate. What really helped get fast service was throwing up in the hall. I could have made it to the bathroom but I sort of wanted to know if it would speed up service... IT DID! Not only that my friend forged my signature while I was throwing up so I am not responsible for the $15,000 in bills. Interesting note: all the radiography is done offshore. So when they took my xrays and sonogram they sent the images to India where someone gets paid 1/8th what an American would, hospital needs to profit somewhere, right?

I had extremely flat feet, and had gotten to the point of almost not being able to stand or walk. Dr Hodgkins performed what I think was a very complicated surgery to correct this, and after 4 months, its like a miracle. Its not completely healed yet, but the progress has been amazing. I can walk so much better on my right foot, enough to have surgery on my left foot tomorrow. Dr. Hodgkins is an amazing surgeon, and really takes personal interest in his patients. On top of that, his staff is excellent, and so professional, in particular Jennifer and Katt, who handle every detail of my procedure, insurance, hospital certification and my recovery with the personal touch that every patient needs. Surgery is scary enough, but this team makes it so much easier to go through. I would recommend this team and Doctors Hospital to anyone looking for the best care of any surgical hospital in their field. The hospital is small, but their service level is out of this world. My son had stomach pain. Its stopped once we arrived but wanted to be safe it was not appendicitis. After 3 hours of being ignored in a relatively empty waiting room, I started to complain about wait. The nurse took blood pressure and temperature and said he would contact a doctor to schedule ultrasound. Waited another hour with no response so I called my pediatrician (Sunday) who said if no more pain just go to office next day. Decided to leave waiting room but they insisted I sign form to deny ultrasound. 2 weeks later bill for $800+ with no service!!!!! 480 for hospital and 415 for doctor that did nothing but order ultrasound and took vitals.. Both hospital and doctor would not adjust or cancel bill. Hospital did discount $20. Wow!!! 5 min to take bp and temperature for $800!! Disgraceful!!! IMO crooks!! No one would budge, thats what it costs to wait 4 +hours in emergency waiting room with no service. Enjoy the $800 you stole from me. There are several other hospitals in area. Avoid this one. My mistake. My lesson.

El Dr Peñalver me realizó una cirugía ambulatoria ayer 7/28/15 ,fue una experiencia maravillosa, desde que llegue hasta que me fui; todos muy profesionales, amables,respetuosos. Mucha higiene. Y hoy el Doctor me contacto por teléfono para darme el resultado. Y despues la enfermera que me atendio me llamó para saber como me sentia y saber si todo estaba bien. Yo le doy 10 estrellas por su buena calidad en los servicios. Gracias Dr Hospital por existir.

Es un hospital totalmente falta de personal calificado nadie sabe nada de nada te dan cualquier medic amento es un Desastre es una lastima que en este gran país se vean estas cosas tengo a mi padre allí y de veras que jamás pensé que ese hospital funcionara de una forma tan desastrosa después de las 10 PM solo tienen enfermeras pues médicos no existen e incluso con pacientes graves en fin sin palabras.

My 94-year old grandfather has been in the hospital for over a week, and the overall care he has been given is AWFUL. I dont even know where to start... Hes been left to lay in his own "accidents" for over an hour, he was left in bed all day even though the doctor had ordered for him to be put in a chair, was misdiagnosed and was scheduled for a procedure at 10am but was delayed over 4 hours and was denied water or anything else to eat! During one of my visits, he accidentally pulled his IV and when a nurse (or nurse assistant) was called into the room, she looked at his arm like if I asked her to perform open heart surgery. Her look of confusion literally scared me. All I can say is go to any other hospital in Miami. The ONLY reason I even gave it a two is because our familys general practitioner works out of here and he is amazing.
