IF I COULD CHOOSE ZERO I WOULD. MY WIFE JUST EXPERIENCED THE WORST MEDICAL CARE SHE HAS EVER RECEIVED. SHE CHECKED INTO URGENT CARE AT APPROX.4:10 PM AND WAS CALLED BACK UNTIL AFTER 5 PM , AFTER OTHER DEPENDENTS WHO CAME IN AFTER HER WERE CALLED IN AHEAD OF HER. SHE WAS RUNNING A TEMPERATURE OF 102.7 WHEN SHE WAS INTERVIEWED NO ONE TOOK HER TEMP WHEN SHE FINALLY SAW TH DR. AT 6: 30 AND BROUGHT THAT TO HIS ATTENTION THE NURSE PRESENT INSISTED THAT SHE HAD TAKEN IT AND IT WAS 97.9. SO HE HAD IT TAKEN AND IT WAS 102.7 NOT LIKELY THAT IT HAD RISE 5 DEGREES IN 2 HRS. AFTER 3 HRS OF ENDURING CHILDREN ON ELECTRONIC DEVICES AT FULL VOLUME AND JUMPING AROUND THE WAITING AREA, THE DR. FINALLY CAME BACK TO MY WIFE AND ASKED HER TO WAIT JUST A LITTLE LONGER SO HE COULD WRITE SOME PRESCRIPTIONS AND GO TO THE PHARMACY AND WAIT SOME MORE FOR THEM TO BE FILLED. THERE SEEMS TO NO RHYME OR REASON TO HOW THEY TRIAGE PATIENTS OR THE PRIORITY I WHICH THEY ARE BROUGHT BACK. HOW ABOUT A SIMPLE TICKET SYSTEM LIKE THE LAB USES. FOR A HOSPITAL WHOSE MOTTO IS "ALWAYS CARING" IT DOESNT APPEAR SO.

I was station at NAVHOSP Beaufort SC twice, April 1966 to Oct 1966 and about Aug 1972 to about Apr 1974. From Apr 66 to Jul 66 worked ward A1, internal medicine ward as corpsman, and Sr corpsman, then to personnel office. Oct 66 to Viet Nam. Back to Beaufort NH in 72 after I got my commission as an ENS MSC USN. Served as Asst Personnel Officer and Out Patient Officer. Transferred to NavHosp Guam in 75 . Spent a lot of time on Hunting Island and really loved my time at Naval Hospital, Beaufort, SC. If the melted tiles in the exam room in Ward A1 are still there, please contact me and Ill tell you how they got there. I was there and it wasn"t me. The Senior Corpsman at the time doing the O2 treatment was wearing his blues. Nuff said.

The VA services offered via the clinic are wonderful. The office staff is friendly and accommodating, they provide answers and get you checked in. By all my observations they get to know the patients and their needs. The medical staff are friendly and welcoming , the doctors answer all my questions and always put my mind at ease. You cant beat the distance; much easier to be seen at this facility then do the drive to Savannah or Charleston. It would be a great benefit if they could expand their services because they are wonderful at the ones they currently offer. Thank you to all those serving this facility.

The travel claim department is absolutely deploreable. I had a MRI appointment on OCT 6, 2015. I had to drive from home all the way in Brantley County, which is about a 2 hour drive. It is now Feb 17, 2016 and have yet to receive my travel pay. I have called every single day since December 2015 to get an answer as to where and when I would receive my travel payment. I am either always transferred or noone can give me an answer and thats IF I get anyone in the office to answer the phone. If not I have to leave a message and request a call return that NEVER comes. This is complete GARBAGE!!!!

Horrible service. As we waited, the workers walked around socializing about their plans after work and what they were making for dinner. We waited for 2 hours when there was only 2 people in front of us. Highly disrespectful staff and after telling one nurse what was wrong we were sent back to the waiting room. Then, we went to the back again to tell another nurse the same thing. Then, had to wait another hour in the back. The room I was put in even had stains on it. When I told the nurse, they laughed. Wont be back.

I had an appointment with CDR Santana on Monday 15, 2014. As a retired HMCS, I was treated with such kindness and respect that I feel the need to give the staff a "BZ". She is without question one of the best health care providers I have ever seen. Not only was her exam and treatment completely beyond the norm, the fact that she rides a Harley only made it better. FANTASTIC NAVAL OFFICER WHO SETS THE BAR FOR NAVAL HEALTH CARE. I would have been honored to serve with her.

I would give this hospital 0 stars if that was an option. I had to wait months to see a doctor because the appointments line claimed the doctor I was assigned wasnt even stationed there. When she finally did arrive, I showed up to my appointment and got turned away because the reason for my appointment (stomach pains) was invalid. Wish they had called me before I made the 45 minute drive out there. Guess Ill just spend another $300 to go see a real doctor.

Im usually not someone who will write reviews, but in 16 years of active duty service, this is by far the worst experience. Brought our 1 year old infant to be seen and waited for over 3 hours, and we ended up leaving "urgent" care because we were told we would have to keep waiting. No patient care, no patient responsibility, and nothing was accomplished. Dont waste your time.

As a retired Army doctor I was impressed with how helpful the staff was. I needed routine lab work and the service was impressive. The Navy should be proud.

Had to have 2 MRIS and they were very pleasant, just wish they would not be in a tiny little trailer outside of the hospital!
