I am only giving 1 star because I had my son here in 2011 and it was a great experience. BUT I will say it has gone down hill here since then. Last Sunday (07/10) my husband went into the ER because he suffers from Crohns disease and was having a flare up. He was admitted because his intestines were severely swollen, had an infection and had lots of blood in his stool. In the ER we were explained that once he was admitted a GI would see him and according to the results of all his tests they would put him on some sort of a treatment plan. Well let me just sum it up and make this long story as short as possible. The GIs PA came in to see him and was clueless. Didnt even know why he was there, didnt know any results to his tests, didnt even bother to check, didnt put him on any treatment plan. He told my husband he would go check the results and he would come back. That was the last time we saw him. The next day he was discharged and we were clueless as to why! Even our nurse was shocked. My husband asked the nurse if the Dr had sent him home with any meds... antibiotics.... steroids maybe pain meds?? and our nurse said no but he would call the GI and ask if he could. The GI told our nurse that he didnt even see my husband so why would he prescribe him anything! The nurse asked if he could at least speak with my husband and he said NO!! He said he refuses to speak with him. Oh and we were NEVER verbally told any results of his blood work, stool samples and no follow up CT scan to check his swelling. We had to ask our nurse to please print out our results so we can provide them to my husbands GI. This has been HORRIBLE experience for us! I will not recommend this hospital to anyone EVER! I have always vouched very highly for WEST KENDALL BAPTIST but not anymore! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!

Went to this hospitals er the other night it was a nightmare. I told them I had chest and back pain tinglying in my left arm and dizziness. They left me in the waiting room 4 hours before they did a CT scan of my neck and head NOT even a ekg was ordered. After that they took me back into the waiting room to wait for a room. After 30 mins. They finally called my name im thinking yay! Finally a room! Yea right! I was put in what they call a hallway room. NO PATIENT PRIVACY EVERYONE HEARS WHAT YOUR TELLING THE DOCTOR AND NURSE. I had to hear nurses talking badly about eachother and how they hated working with some doctors also them talking about patients and their families, the list goes on and on. They never came once to check on me unless they needed blood or urine but they sure know to check their cell and be on fb. Then im explaining my problem and they didnt listen. The doctor examined me finally order a ekg and said he was going to give me something for my dizziness wait to see if it worked if it didnt i would have to be admitted. 10 mins later the nurses comes with my meds by that time i had a headache so I asked the nurse are these going to help with my headache. She replied umm it should, i took the pills after 5 mins of taking those pills the nurse came up to me saying you ready to go home? i was like im being discharged? So, i signed my papers then she had to take my IV needed out that girl ripped that tape off my arm it hurt so damn bad. She didnt even use the alcohol swab to make it less painful coming off. All she said was.. Oops im sorry! I use to love this hospital i had my baby there back in 2012 everyone was awesome in L&D, but im really hating it now they had some good nurses and doctors but unfortunately the bad weigh out the good.
