The eye doctor himself is really nice and informative. The customer service from the front desk area, not so much. I had made an appointment, and I needed to call and reschedule it. When I called to reschedule it the phone was busy, so I called 3 more times that hour. All 4 times were busy. So I waited until around 12 noon, and when I called it said the office was closed. It was a Monday, and the hours listed said they were open. I thought well maybe they are at lunch. So I waited for 30 minutes and called again, still closed, so I waited and called 3 more times between 1:15 and 2 pm. Still said they were closed. So I just stopped calling and around 4:30 I still didnt have a call back, so I tried one more time. They finally answered, and I asked why I didnt get a call back even though I left 2 voicemails. They said they didnt know, probably because they just dont check their voicemail. Alright, well anyway I went to reschedule the appointment, and was put on hold for 10 minutes for her to figure out her computer. Then after I rescheduled it my husband didnt realize I had gotten ahold of them, so he went to call them 30 minutes after that, and he went to reschedule it, and she had me listed for 2 appointments still the same day that I had cancelled them. He had to reschedule it completely to a different week and triple check that she only had me in for that one and not 2 others. So basically the eye doctor is good, but the front desk staff is lacking.

Used this doctor for a few years when I first got glasses and contacts. Front desk service has always been horrible. Terrible attitudes and customer service. I was a receptionist for a few years and I still work in customer service to an extent and Im frustrated with how incompetent this staff is. When a customer decides to bring their time, money and business to your establishment - look them in the eyes, greet them with a smile, ask them how you can help and conduct yourself with an understanding that you represent the owner and identity of this business. I walk in and stand in front of the desk for a few minutes before any of the staff acknowledges that I need assistance. The interaction that I do have with the any of the staff(minus the actual eye care doctor who is very nice and welcoming) is unpleasant. They act as if Ive disrupted their day by bringing my money and business to their store. I eventually just switched eye doctors to one near barnes and noble for the prescription and then use 1800 contacts for my actual product.

I have been a patient of Dr. Baluch since I was a teenager. I can honestly say he has never changed and has always been very pleasant. The staff is hit and miss, you have to catch them on a good day. Being a supervisor myself of a medical front office, I would definitely have to revamp a few of the attitudes that I have encountered at this office. I believe that the staff should be a direct extension of the providers and the staff he currently has do not betray his pleasant demeanor. It is very rare for me to catch a smile or warm welcome from any of the girls at the front office. The girls that work in the back that assist with the glasses are very nice to work with and always have great attitudes and willing to help you in anyway. I simply continue my care with Dr. Balch out of loyalty and longevity with my patient care with him, if I had to base it off of the entire staff, I would have left a long time ago. Its unfortunate because he is a great doctor!

Dont recommend. Staff is rude, the lady in the front who sounds like a ex crack head needs to be fired. The main eye doctor was kinda rude and doesnt wanna go with your choice. Ok so I wanted colored contacts.. For a change... To try something out. He was like no... Lets go try out glasses and even told his staff to help me pic out a frame... RUDE! Umm mind you I wear clear contacts already by air optix (which I know they have colors) so it would be nothing to change it over to color. Fast forward. My mom ended up getting glasses, when my mom got them the side on the lense were scratched up!! Crazy right? How do You let glasses out ur place like that? Oh yea and they forgot to hand over the contacts at the counter. They act super busy when they arent, homegirl at the front was tacky and attitude stinks.

Great service from staff. My wife and I, have been seeing Dr. Charles Balch for 3 years. We have never had a problem with the staff and there are some new faces in the reception area now; so you may want to visit again. Dr. Balch has always been super helpful and personable. He has always listened to us and told us if we need anything between visits to call his office. I dont quite understand the negative comments here; we have never had a problem in the 3 years weve been going here. Folks, I would and do recommend Dr. Balch & his staff to family & friends (and you)... He also takes Veterans Administration (VA) Eye Exam Authorizations. Be blessed.

I have been going to Dr. Balch for many years. There was one lady there several years ago that was not very friendly. She no longer works there. The rest of the staff has always been very professional, very kind, very prompt with any request. Dr. Balch is an exceptional doctor, always takes his time and is very thorough. Over the years, he has monitored the changes in my eyes and even recommended I go to just one contact for far away, which has really helped me. I highly recommend Dr. Balch and his staff.

I dealt with one super nice staffer, but everything else was horrible. I received a drastically different prescription than last year that is not agreeing with me. A staffer sold my husband thick, inappropriate lenses for his prescription. This same staffer was uncooperative when delivering my glasses. She refused to tighten loose screws, was rude and inflexible when I pointed out areas that pinched, and did not know common adjusting techniques.

I have never come across an medical professional that has been more of an advocate for my health. Dr Balch is amazing. He is kind and informative. He is very compassionate as well. And as for the staff, those girls are awesome as well. I have been going to them a lot due to an recurring issue. Every time I am treated well. I recommend everyone go here.

We drove to 6 eye glass centers in the immediate area. This was the best place for prices and second only to LensCrafters for selection. Pricing here was too good to pass for high quality brands. Highly recommended. Ask for Terri, she helped us on 2 consecutive days and remembered us!

Went here to get a pair of frames. No one offered to help or even acknowledged that I was even there. There was only one person working on the frame side and she was already working with someone when I arrived. After waiting to be helped for about 20 minutes, I decided to leave.

This place has the worse customer service, EVERYONE here is rude besides the doctor, ALL the females must have had their time of the month and I will never take my family there again, the eye glasses isnt that good of a choice either, avoid this place
