Sought out this office due to the exceptional reviews on Google; however, my experience was definitely not exceptional. I am very suspicious of the amount of 5 star reviews. From the moment the exam began Dr. Bassiri did not listen to my concerns and in fact told me he could not accept my diagnosis from specialists because he himself did not diagnose them. He refused to give me my prescription that I have been wearing for years because his machine did not print out this prescription. I was in the market for new contacts because mine were discontinued. After not being listened to I walked out paying well above any price I have ever paid at an eye doctor (and that is WITH insurance). The contacts I was given were painful for my eyes (and the wrong prescription) so when I called to schedule a contact lens follow up I was told my insurance did not cover this and I would have to pay $257 out of pocket. This is absolute price gouging! I even called my insurance company because they refused to call and my insurance company assured me that this was a fee that I should absolutely not be paying! The only reason I left my old eye doctor was due to moving towns and as I called around to find yet another new eye doctor this was not the policy at ANY other eye doctor. Returning whether it be even multiple times to find contacts that work is all part of the initial contact lenses fitting fee. I would absolutely not recommend this doctor or office and if you are already a patient I would absolutely be calling around elsewhere to compare fees before giving these thieves another penny!

On Thursday I had started to feel some eye pain which worsened when I woke up the next day. My eye was bloodshot, I was very light sensitive, and my vision was blurry. I thought it may just be the pollen irritating my eyes, as I didnt want to pay for an expensive exam. When Monday came, I was in so much pain & was frustrated that I could not be productive at work. I called more than 5 practices for a same-day appointment & was unable to get an appointment until the next day around four. The last woman I spoke with asked me my symptoms and got on the phone with Dr. Bassiris practice. I was told Dr. Bassiri would be able to see me that day. He was very thorough & genuinely cared about my comfort & getting me back to normal. He spent about 45 minutes or so with me, which never happens anymore (back in December I had to pay $170 to see a PA for 5 minutes & refer me elsewhere--yes I have insurance through work). When the exam was over he pulled up an illustration of an eyeball and explained that I had iritis/uveitis & what that was so I knew exactly what was going on with my eyes. He sent me home with a couple of prescriptions & doctors note for missing work. The appointment wasnt pricey (only $100) and he scheduled a follow-up for this Saturday, and told me to come back Wednesday if things got worse. Fast-forward to today, Wednesday. I am 90% better! No eye pain, slight blurry vision--but I can read again! Thank you, Dr. Bassiri.

Called to make appointment for an eye exam. I was told they were running a special and that I could come in on a Saturday - both of which were good news for me. I went online and filled out the forms and brought them with me to the appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by two nice employees who took my forms and asked me to sign an authorization. I sat down right in front of the check-in desk and waited. I was the only person waiting. I continued to wait and no one talked to me. My phone battery ran out and I stood up and asked one of the employees for the time. I realized I had been waiting over 35 minutes! I asked what was going on and was told it would be a while yet since "they were running behind". I wish I had been told that when I walked in or anytime during the 30 minutes I just sat there! I rescheduled my appointment and walked out. I guess they didnt think my time was worth anything. I wont be going back.

I met with Dr. Bassiri yesterday to discuss scleral contact lenses and keratoconus and was really impressed with his level of knowledge and experience with specialty contact lenses. He did a great job of explaining all the ins and outs of these types of gas permeable contact lenses and how they can help with severe dry eyes. I also really liked how friendly his front office staff were and his front office waiting area which is gorgeous! As you can see in my pictures, he has so many great looking eyeglasses to choose from. Be sure to ask him which glasses are the best for you. If youre looking for a Raleigh optometrist, I highly recommend Fusion Eye Care in Raleigh, NC.

I originally tried to schedule an appointment for the optometry inside of Walmart but was routed to Fusion Eye Care Center since there was no one at the office. Im glad I did visit Fusion Eye Care Center. The office was very neat and clean with friendly staff. The exam was thorough and I had the option to have images taken of my eyes (which I did decide to do). Overall great experience with Dr. Bassiri who was very informative and knowledgeable!

I had such a great experience at this office. I got glasses, contacts and sunglasses. Glasses were ready in an hour!! Great deal on high end sunglasses- 50% off when you use dental services at same office (husband/wife team - both awesome!). Can not say enough about this beautiful office, great doctor (thorough and informative) and super friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend!!! Great prices on all.

Dr. Bassiri is the consummate professional. He is always knowledgeable, patient, and a pleasure to see. I recommend Fusion Eye Care to all my friends and family. The customer service is excellent, and the glasses selection is impeccable. It is hard to choose just one pair. Dr. Bassiri is always aware of the latest advancements in eye correction from daily contacts to blue light blocking lenses.

I had sawdust in my eye and they fixed me up in less than an hour. Office staff is courteous and works to see to the to the patients needs. The doctor I saw is very professional and seems to be a nice guy. The nurse is super cute. I dont feel like Im in need of a follow up, but Im going back just to see if shes single. Id recommend this office to anyone seeking eye care.

Dr. Bassiri is very knowledgeable and up to date on conditions/treatments. I highly recommend this office. Very friendly and thorough. I am so happy I found an excellent optometrist! Very helpful with picking out glasses, and letting me know my insurance coverage as well. They always go the extra mile to make sure I am well taken care of and satisfied!

I havent been to an eye doctor since I moved to raleigh 10 months ago. Im glad I chose this one. Id recommend anyone to go here. I definitely will be back!!
