Dr. Badwan is hands-down the best dry eye doctor I have ever met. I am 31 years old and have been suffering with dry eyes for most of my adult life. I have moved around the country a lot for school and work opportunities, resulting in me needing to constantly search for new, reliable eye-doctors that can help move me forward in my fight to maintain clear and comfortable vision. Time and time again, despite articulating very clearly my condition and treatment history, I am run through the same basic testing procedures and ultimately told the same things - try these (common and obvious) treatments (that Ive tried thousands of times). Despite trying to establish a more personable relationship with these doctors in hopes that they will be interested in actually helping me problem-solve my issues, I almost always feel like I am wasting my breath. At the end of the day, what Im looking for is a doctor that TAKES AN INTEREST in my condition and is willing to invest the time and energy into helping me problem-solve our way to a solution. I was nearly in tears of gratitude after my first appointment with Dr. Badwan a few weeks ago, when I found exactly that. "Dr. B" whole-heartedly listened to what I had to say and immediately set himself to helping me. He put me through a series of very thorough tests (all of which were new to me) and clearly explained everything that he was seeing as well as the different options that we could explore based on my comfort and financial preferences. What an absolute amazing experience. Two weeks later, I am already seeing more improvement than I have seen in years. I cant recommend Wake Family Eye Care enough. From a 31 year old biologist, teacher, and editor - take my word for it, this is the place you need to go for your dry eye problems.

Had my annual check up last week. As usual, the service and treatment were fantastic. I waited only 2 minutes or so to be seen from the time I walked in the door. I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Badwan who was once again welcoming and extremely friendly. He was very thorough with his examination and used different testing platforms to form his diagnoses and to insure his assessment was accurate. He explained all the scenarios, all the reasons for my condition, and then the pros and cons to the different choices of treatment available, including laser surgery. He answered any questions I had, and his years of experience and expertise were really evident and helpful. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as usual by repairing my bent frames on the spot, and executing my order for new sunglasses. I have been coming to Wake Family Eye Care since they opened, and every time I leave there, I feel appreciated and taken care of. You can always count on the quality of the service, the professionalism of the staff and doctors, and the comfortable atmosphere.

Dr. Badwan is by far the best doctor I have visited! He is always very professional and has a great sense of humor. He immediately gives you a warm welcome and explains everything very carefully along the way with regard to the health of your eyes. This was my second time coming into his office (the first time was also a great experience, which is why I came back after losing my glasses), and he was phenomenal! As soon as it came down to picking out my new glasses, he offered his help since I was having a hard time looking for the right "style." He picked out all of the glasses that resembled what style I was looking for and gave me great feedback, along with the receptionists there. It was truly an environment that allowed me to take as much time as I needed to pick out my glasses (Dr. Badwan even made it into a game for narrowing down the tons of glasses I had chosen out! So much fun!) It was an exceptional experience by far. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for eye care.

Dr. Badwan and his team are always very warm, professional, and courteous. Dr. Badwan makes sure you leave satisfied and well informed about the health of your eyes. His staff is NEVER pushy toward the sale of things you dont want. Ive had bad experiences at other local optometry offices who are unable to communicate with their customers properly. I followed Dr. Badwan when he opened his new office so I would not have to deal with ineptitude. I can safely say this is one of the best optometrists Ive been to. I feel like Dr. Badwan is always updating his equipment to provide the best technology has to offer to serve his patients better. Ill be using Dr. Badwan to treat my eyes until he retires.

I recently moved to the area and just found my new optometrist. Once I let the kind receptionist know I was out of contacts she scheduled me in the next very next day. The front desk staff were very welcoming. Dr Badwan was both very professional and had a great sense of humor. He recommend me a brand of contacts I have yet to try and they seem to be the best contacts Ive wore in the last 10+ years. My visit to this office was great. The staff was friendly and were more then happy to help me with any questions I had. Dr. Badwan was also very thorough with examing my eyes. I recommend this practice to any one looking for an eye doctor in the raleigh area.

Important stuff: VERY little wait time, office was efficient, Dr was really nice/easy to talk to. Details: Dr. Shenk was professional but down to earth and kind. So tired of the "well Im the dr, so only my opinion counts" attitude that seems so prevalent with docs these days. It takes longer to sit and actually LISTEN to your patients, yes- but isnt that a part of what Im paying you for? From front desk to exam to leaving - I really cant complain about anything. This one is an easy recommendation. OH - and THEY DONT PUSH YOU TO BUY EXTRA STUFF! I needed new glasses - and the dr actually directed me to some on sale. I nearly fainted ;)

Doctor was good, however was not informed initially how expensive the lenses they were prescribing for a "minor" vision correction would cost-specialty lenses, over 400.00, not including the frames. Got a final quote of 750.00 for everything, and that was with the discount sale frames and co-pays. Wasted 45 minutes trying on and being " consulted" on frames. Felt like I was in a car dealership. Had to wait 30 minutes to even see the doctor. I dont know who is writing the good reviews, but if you are budget concientious and mindful of cheeses sales practices-dont waste your time here.

You wont find a more genuinely friendly, professional, and inviting office. From the moment you step foot in the door and are greeted by the amazing staff and are in the exam room, its just an overall extremely pleasant experience. The doctors and staff go above and beyond in assisting the right frames/contacts. Best of all, they are fun and patient with kids! If youre looking for that doctors office that doesnt feel sterile, dated, boring, and has you leaving with a smile ... then you have to make the switch to this amazing team of fun and professional individuals.

We got to the office at 430pm. Doors normally closed at 7pm today, but Dr. Badwan and Geneva stayed open until 8pm to ensure me, my husband and all 4 of our children got our eyes examined and frames chosen. Talk about patience and genuinely amazing service! Geneva was so awesome with us and our kids. Both her and the doctor took time to pull and return countless frames to ensure we all picked the right ones. So thankful for their help and time. Well definitely keep coming to them for our eye health and eyewear needs!
