Outstanding Care! I highly recommend Dr. Krahn and the entire staff of Gentle Care. After an initial visit/grooming with another veterinarian in the area, I left feeling unsatisfied with the level of care. I cancelled the appointment to spay our doberman there. I chose to try Gentle Care based on recommendations from friends and am so glad I did! We took her in for bloodwork and to schedule the surgery. Dr. Krahn immediately recognized some pretty significant symptoms and diagnosed her with Pyometra (uterine infection). Gentle Care saved my dog’s life! The surgery was complicated for a number of other issues and I’m confident that she was in the BEST possible hands. The whole team was caring and informative, providing me with updates during her recovery. Dr. Krahn even went in on her day off to check on her and called me personally with the good news. I continue to be impressed with the outstanding level of professionalism, knowledge, and skill that I witness at each visit. I am always provided with the options available to me, their costs, and Dr. Krahn’s honest recommendation. It is clear that my dog’s health and wellbeing is as important to her as it is to me. How wonderful to find a truly talented doctor with such compassion! I am incredibly grateful to her and the whole team. I recommend Gentle Care to anyone and everyone!

I had a new puppy, Benny, and my previous vet totally blew off a persistent diarrhea he had. She had a vet tech deal with me over the phone. I had heard good things about Gentle Care from some Pet Smart employees, and so I rushed Benny over there. Good thing! They rehydrated him, and we began a long series of tests to see why his stools would not firm up. I was so impressed when Dr. Parker called me at 9:00 at night to give me the first test results. A second doctor, Dr Mallo, also came onboard. Benny had to be rehydrated again after the first round of tests turned up nothing, but then in short order, the vets put him on Tylan and a special diet. This was pure experience on their part. After two series of different tests, nothing ever did show up. Dr Mallo told me that the Tylan sometimes worked in these "mystery" cases of puppy digestion, and it did. But they called me after hours when ever test results came back. They explained everything. They listened to me. Benny is still on his special diet and a pinch of Tylan, but his stool firmed up. He has put on weight. He is thoroughly naughty and rambunctious and affectionate. Regrettably, he does hide under the chair when we go to Gentle Care, but I am so delighted with the concern, professionalism, and commitment to clear communication from the vets there.

I was in a panic. My beloved Whippet was bitten by a venomous copperhead snake at 7:30am and when i called my normal veterinarian, they blew me off and told me they could see my nearly dying dog later in the day. Uhh, no. In a PANIC, I called Gentle Care and after explaining the emergency I was told to bring her in right away and they would find a way to fit her in even though they had a busy schedule. I was greeted at the door, and rushed past other owners in the waiting room for routine appointments and Dr. Holman was practically WAITING for me in the examination room! After taking his time to examine and treat, they even kept her for the day at no cost and Dr. Holman even called me personally with updates routinely. In a time of need, when my sweetheart wasnt even a regular patient, they took care of her in the most EXCELLENT way possible and provided me with such a spectacular customer experience. Shes made a full recovery, and the staff there now have a Whippet in their care for life!!!!! So awesome!!!

My wife and I have entrusted Dr. Krahn and the Gentle Care staff with caring for our four legged children for over 15 years. We have had to deal with various cancers, organ diseases, and just plain old age over the years. Dr. Krahn has always provided us with plans and options for maintaining our pet’s quality of life, respecting our decisions and been honest when letting us know when it was time to let go. Dr. Krahn has been our primary vet, but we would be remiss not to mention Dr. Mallo. She has been a marvelous back-up when Dr. Krahn has not been available. Like Dr. Krahn, Dr. Mallo has often gone beyond the call of duty when caring for our “children”. We would not hesitate to recommend either of these great veterinarians and the entire GCAH staff to anyone who wants the best for their four-legged friends. If you’re looking for caring, professional, compassionate veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, look no further than Gentile Care Animal Hospital.

I found Gentle Care because my newly adopted dog started vomiting uncontrollably and a different vet turned me away. Im pretty sure I rushed into the GC freaking out like "my dog is not okay" and they immediately calmed me and tended to her. For the past year and a half, theyve literally been the best vet Ive ever been to. At this point Im pretty sure Ive met all of the doctors, techs, and misc. staff, and theyre all amazing. My dog Olive was diagnosed with heart-worm and they walked me through getting financing and treatment ASAP. They call after visits to ask me how shes doing. Theyve called when shes exhibited bizarre behavior at daycare or during boarding. I just got my dogs medical records as well, and theyve documented so much they might as well own Olive herself. If you live nearby a GentleCare and you have an animal, use them. Use them all the time always.

Ive been going to Gentle Care with my pup for about 3 years now and theyve been amazing! Even though I moved away, I will still drive to Gentle Care because the care they provide is phenomenal. My dog, Misty, has health issues which were very difficult to diagnose, requiring ultrasounds, a biopsy and multiple medications. Dr. Bailey has been absolutely amazing in taking care of Misty, explaining every step to me, reassuring me and trying to find less expensive care options. I trust her fully and she even makes sure that, if shes out of town, Dr. Mallow knows the details of the case and can help out. I recommend Gentle Care for primary care, specialty care and boarding to everyone! Thank you to Gentle Care for keeping my pup happy and healthy!

After a visit to Dr Jennifer Bailey with our other dog, Brandy for a procedure, we had her check out Albie. She determined he had a heart murmer, previously noted in his records but not highlited as an issue. So a side trip to a Vet Cardiologist in Raleigh ( probably the only one in NC) confirmed it but also stated its not a cause for concern right now. Albie and Brandy are doing fine, home now and relaxing. We cannot say enough about the vet practice, Gentle Care in Cary, each Dr is great, front desk staff is wonderful, they know you and your pet by name, you cant go wrong here; they are the most thorough and caring vet hospital we have ever used. We are driving 3 hours now just to see our vet.
