Regarding a family eye exam - Beware of the fees - Lensecrafters are clever in that the eye exam fee ( for glasses = $109 ) doesnt include the contact fitting procedure ... so the price of an appointment visit of one hour for eye exam + contact lense exam (= $218 hour) - if you are paying yourself without insurance. How significant to note that their prices are $109 - for both services . You might easily think they are talking about one fee ( $109 ) and they are talking about an additional fee ( $109). Lensecrafters staff maintain that this was all clearly explained before getting a signature - of course it was (?!?) - thats why Im taking the time to submit a review - to let other potential customers know in advance what to expect. Id suggest a potential customer should arrange to see all fees written on a plain piece of paper in advance ( take it with you - BTW ) - so there are no surprises about which ones apply to you this visit. Coupons and discounts often muddy the waters - so get everything written down. Of course it makes customers look stupid that they didnt differentiate between the fees. BUT it makes a successful business for the eye company to get the signatures and then the bills come due later. It is especially interesting ( in our case ) that Lensecrafters send a bill three months later ( for the unpaid fees of one of the exams) - which makes the whole circumstances even more murky - trying to remember what took place more than 90 days before. But they do have signatures! If your memory isnt as good as it used to be - Im not sure these are the folks to deal with. Moral: Its no surprise that optometry is a booming business at +$200 per hour visit - some good advice - have your children / grandchildren become optometrists. Whether to visit Lensecrafters - you make the call. We paid for it - (( twice as much as expected)) - in the end.

Ive never been to LensCrafters because I thought the service and selection of frames would be less than desirable compared to other private optometrists. I decided to take a chance yesterday because my dog ate my glasses and I needed some fast. I was amazingly surprised by my sales associate and the two other ladies in the store when I went there. I was even further impressed by the service I received when I picked up my glasses by a gentleman working in the store. They made me feel comfortable, helped me narrow my frame selection from a gazillion to 5 to 1. They took pictures to help me compare and made everything super smooth. They gave me a warranty, explained some kid packages they have for kids, etc. When I picked up my glasses, the gentleman adjusted them and cleaned them very nicely. He told me how to keep them in the best condition and what to do and not to do when cleaning them. He informed me of a buy 2 get 1 free on the cleaners since my whole family wears glasses with AR coating - this was very helpful as I always forget to get this stuff until I cant see out of my glasses. He welcomed me to come back anytime for adjustments, etc. The staff here is fantastic, even walking me over to the optometrist to see if he took my insurance. I will go back here always due to the AMAZING service I received.

I went to the Triangle Town Center location at 8:45pm tonight to purchase a pair of Versace glasses for my pregnant (due in 2-3 weeks) Fiancée’s Birthday tomorrow. Everything is under my insurance plan through work and I already had the glasses pre-selected and the prescription up to date, so it should have been a quick in and out since the glasses are on the shelf. However, the first employee said it wasnt possible for me to purchase because I needed to get them adjusted to which I replied that I will do that at a later date. The manager then says that I can purchase, but they already closed the register for the night, which was a good 10 minutes BEFORE the store is supposed to close. In addition, there was a total of 3 employees (2 girls and one male manager), yet they still closed down early! The whole team was being short/rude trying to get me out of the store during the entire transaction. This was a horrible experience and customer service from a repeat customer. My Fiancée, will now be without a gift on her birthday due to lazy employees/managers. Needless to say, Im deeply disappointed!

Went in today to simply get a new pair of lenses after my reflective coating had begun to peel. The first lady we encountered seemed to think that my request for new lenses was totally above her pay grade, and she tried to pass us off to her other colleague, who just offered his computer. We then had to sit for the supposedly easy digital measurements, but for some reason this was beyond both of them, and the man became increasingly agitated with me-despite the fact that I simply was following his instruction. Finally they came up with the computer programming skills to work that out and we gave up. We asked for a refund, and were really impressed at how proficient and quickly he was able to accomplish getting rid of us. If you are interested in decent customer service in a timely considerate fashion.. DO NOT go here.
