I moved here from the Charlotte area in the fall of 2012. When I moved, I needed a new large and small animal veterinarian. Appalachian Animal Hospital was highly recommended for both by a veterinarian that I have been using for the past 16 years. I am very pleased with the service. It doesnt matter if I go the office with one of my 5 dogs or if one of the large animal veterinarians comes to me. The veterinarians and their staff always treat me and my animals very well. They explain things in terms that non-veterinarians can understand and give treatment options. They are friendly and personable. I highly recommend them!!!

Ive been taking my 15 year old Jack Russell to them since 2012 for small checkups - and also one major procedure, a cystotomy back in 2013. In that time, the practice has cycled through a few small animal vets, but theyve all been capable, knowledgeable, and kind. I have had no complaints. Four stars, not five - their prices are very very competitive for the Asheville area, but thats a pretty highly set pricepoint already.

Ive been taking our senor citizen cat, Noche, to Appalachian Animal Hospital since we moved to Weaverville. My cat hates the car so I was looking for a vet that was close. We lucked out that we found one that is close with fantastic vets and vet techs. They are taking such good care of him as he enters the final stages of kidney failure, I trust them to help me with his care.
